Infections are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in these patients, emphasizing the need for strategies such as infection control and vaccination to prevent avoidable harm to both patients and healthcare workers. We report the case of a 30-year-old male with a longstanding history of back pain with an initial diagnosis of young-onset DISH. However, a diagnosis of axSpA was ultimately pursued based on his age and clinical presentation.

Methods: We identified 484 patients with SSc who had HRCT Chest, of which 312 with ILD. Those with serial pulmonary function tests were included in a longitudinal analysis (n = 184).
Alterations in lipid metabolism have the potential to be markers as well as drivers of pathobiology of acute critical illness. Here, we took advantage of the temporal precision offered by trauma as a common cause of critical illness to identify the dynamic patterns in the circulating lipidome in critically ill humans. The major findings include an early loss of all classes of circulating lipids followed by a delayed and selective lipogenesis in patients destined to remain critically ill.

Objectives: We sought to identify the predictors of not achieving remission or low disease activity (LDA) among axial spondyloarthritis (SpA) patients in four Middle Eastern countries.
Methods: In this multicenter prospective real-world study, adult patients with axial SpA diagnosed clinically during January-June 2019, and who met the Assessment of SpondyloArthritis International Society classification criteria for axial SpA, were enrolled from the participating centers of four countries-Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE. Patient demographics, disease history, comorbidities, treatment, and compliance data were obtained at baseline.

Here, we investigated whether single-cell ATAC-seq would provide further resolution of transcriptomic patterns that align with patient outcomes.
Methods: We performed scATAC-seq on peripheral blood mononuclear cells from four trauma patients at <4 h, 24 h, 72 h post-injury and four matched healthy controls, and extracted the features associated with the global epigenetic alterations.
Trauma is a leading cause of death and morbidity worldwide. Here, we present the analysis of a longitudinal multi-omic dataset comprising clinical, cytokine, endotheliopathy biomarker, lipidome, metabolome, and proteome data from severely injured humans. A "systemic storm" pattern with release of 1,061 markers, together with a pattern suggestive of the "massive consumption" of 892 constitutive circulating markers, is identified in the acute phase post-trauma.
