Secondary intention healing offers an alternative when surgical options are infeasible. This study analyzed the effect of micronized acellular dermal matrices (mADMs; CGderm Matrix, CG Bio, Seoul, Republic of Korea) on secondary intention healing in patients with complex soft-tissue defects and assessed mADMs' efficacy in promoting secondary healing and improving clinical outcomes in these challenging cases. This retrospective study included 26 patients treated with sheet-type reprocessed mADMs between August 2022 and December 2022 at Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital.

However, high-performance biosensors with scalable fabrication ability and simple protocols have yet to be fully realized due to the challenges in wafer-scale 2D film synthesis and integration with electronics.

This study aims to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of the prevalence of K13 mutations with ART resistance in malaria-endemic countries.

In the deep type, this is difficult by clinico-radiologic evaluation alone. We aimed to investigate the usefulness of lymphatic vessel endothelial cell (LEC) markers for the differential diagnosis of the deep VMs and LMs.

Although HA is considered an effective and safe ingredient in cosmetics, there is a constant demand for a more money-saving and effective formulation.

This study aims to report on the correlation and utility of two novel non-invasive instruments: transcutaneous oxygen pressure (TcPO ) and forward-looking infrared (FLIR) thermography. A total of 68 patients diagnosed with diabetic foot ulcer and PAD who underwent vascular studies at a single institution between March 2022 and March 2023 were included.

Magnesium disorders are common in clinical practice and when present can manifest clinically as cardiovascular, neuromuscular, or other organ dysfunction. Hypomagnesemia is far more common than hypermagnesemia, which is largely seen in patients with reduced glomerular filtration rates receiving magnesium-containing medications. In addition to inherited disorders of magnesium handling, hypomagnesemia is also seen with excessive gastrointestinal or renal losses and due to medications such as amphotericin B, aminoglycosides, and cisplatin.

Poor compliance with self-isolation could be a potential reason for the new outbreak. Our study aimed to find out the correlation between the rising new cases of COVID-19 and home-based patients in Japan.

Objective: We sought to assess the safety and efficacy of a novel hydrogel manufactured only by irradiation containing cross-linked HA and polyethylene glycol polymers with addition of polysiloxane.
Background: Particulate matter (PM) is one of the air pollutants that can damage human skin; the recent increase in the amount of PM may be detrimental to skin health.
Objective: We aimed to investigate the effects of PM on cultured human sebocytes and outer root sheath (ORS) cells and the effects of Siegesbeckia Herba extract (SHE) on PM-treated cultured cells.
Methods: Sebocytes and ORS cells were cultured.
Background: Particulate matter (PM) is an air pollutant that can impair the human skin. Antioxidants have been tested to improve PM-induced skin inflammation.
Objective: In this study, we investigated the effects of dieckol on PM-induced inflammation on cultured human sebocytes, outer root sheath (ORS) cells, and mice pretreated with .

MalE is a maltose/maltodextrin-binding protein (MBP) that plays a critical role in most bacterial maltose/maltodextrin-transport systems. Previously reported wild-type MBPs are monomers comprising an N-terminal domain (NTD) and a C-terminal domain (CTD), and maltose-like molecules are recognized between the NTD and CTD and transported to the cell system. Because MBP does not undergo artificial dimerization, it is widely used as a tag for protein expression and purification.

Reversible H gas sensing at room temperature has been highly desirable given the booming of the Internet of Things (IoT), zero-emission vehicles, and fuel cell technologies. Conventional metal oxide-based semiconducting gas sensors have been considered as suitable candidates given their low-cost, high sensitivity, and long stability. However, the dominant sensing mechanism is based on the chemisorption of gas molecules which requires elevated temperatures to activate the catalytic reaction of target gas molecules with chemisorbed O, leaving the drawbacks of high-power consumption and poor selectivity.

YxaL has further been suggested to act as an exogenous signaling protein to induce the growth and branching of plant roots. Amino acid sequence analysis predicted YxaL to exhibit an eight-bladed β-propeller fold stabilized by six tryptophan-docking motifs and two modified motifs.

Despite the low mortality rate resulting from severe cases, dengue requires constant examination and round-the-clock nursing care due to the unpredictable progression of complications, posing a burden on clinical triage and material resources. Accordingly, identifying markers that allow for predicting disease prognosis from the initial diagnosis is needed.
