Germination is an essential phenomenon in the life cycle of plants, and a variety of external and internal factors influence it. Fire and the produced smoke have been vital environmental stimulants for the germination of seeds in many plant species, like Leucospermum cordifolium and Serruria florida. These plants do not germinate at all if fire and smoke are not present.

Background Pre-prosthetic implant radiographic imaging helps in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of the bone structure and also enables the evaluation of the relationship between critical structures and potential implant sites. Purpose The aim of the study was to define the reliability of utilizing the analysis of textures from the periapical radiographic images obtained through Radiovisiography (RVG) in order to better plan for dental implantations. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted using 50 intraoral periapical radiographs which were obtained through RVG performed prior to the placement of implants.

Aim The aim of the study was to assess the effect of implant placement depth on stress distribution in bone around a platform-switched and Morse taper dental implants placed at the equi-crestal and 1 mm and 2 mm sub-crestal levels in a D3 bone using the 3D finite element analysis. Methodology A mechanical model of a partially edentulous maxilla was generated from a computerized tomography (CT) scan of an edentulous patient, as it can give exact bony contours of cortical bone. Also, from accurate geometric measurements obtained from the manufacturer, 3D models of Morse taper and platform-switched implants were manually drawn.

With the rise in subscapular tendon tears, most of them being partial that eventually end up in complete tears, we present our experience in the management of such tears using a cross shuttle loop technique. This technique incorporates the advantages of a single portal for anchor placement and repair, easy to use cross loops in limited working space, and familiar viewing.

The stability of the implant at the time of placement and during the development of the osseointegration process are the two major issues governing the implant survival. Implant stability is a mechanical phenomenon related to local factors such as bone quality, quantity, type of placement technique and type of implant used. The application of a user-friendly, clinically reliable, non-invasive method to assess implant stability and the osseointegration process is considered highly desirable.

Background: Appearance of the face is a great concern to everyone, as it is a significant part of self-image. The study analyzed the clinical crown dimensions of the maxillary anterior teeth with respect to their apparent mesiodistal widths, width-to-height ratio to determine whether golden proportion existed among the South Indian population.

Materials And Methods: A total of 240 dentulous subjects were chosen for the study (120 males and 120 females) age ranging between 18 and 28 years.

Background: Both chronic kidney disease (CKD) and its treatment can affect a wide range of tissues and systems. It directly or indirectly affects flow, concentrations and composition of saliva. Hemodialysis can effectively minimize most of these complications to some extent.

Background: The introduction of different interocclusal recording materials has put clinicians in dilemma that which material should be used in routine clinical practice for precise recording and transferring of accurate existing occlusal records for articulation of patient's diagnostic or working casts in the fabrication of good satisfactory prosthesis. In the era of developing world of dentistry the different materials are introduced for interocclusal record with different brand names because of this; the utility of the material is confusing for successful delivery of prosthesis with lack of in vitro or in vivo studies which will predict the property of the material with utility recommendations.

Purpose Of The Study: The aim of this multicenter research is to evaluate the time dependent linear dimensional stability of three types of interocclusal recording materials; which gives very clear idea to clinicians in regard to its usage in routine practice and recommendations for usage of the different materials.
