An original blade-vent implant was experimentally studied under conditions of static and fatigue loading. The results indicate a considerable safety margin of the new implant design.

Analysis of the published data and their own findings have brought the authors to the conclusion that the most widely used method involved is a panoramic technique; however, CT scan is required in some cases demanding accurate measurements; which, at the stage of preoperative planning, enables us to specify surgical indications and choose the optimal form of implants.
