Analysis of female pre-clinical students' readiness, academic performance and satisfaction in online learning: an assessment of quality for curriculum revision and future implementation.

Background: The acceptance of online courses by medical and dental students, especially during the coronavirus disease 2019 crisis, is substantial, as reported in various studies. However, the unfavourable online learning experiences of the students during the pandemic were also highlighted. As the teaching-learning process is returning to the "new normal," it is necessary to identify online learning domains implemented during the pandemic crisis that may be applied in pre-clinical courses in the future.

Defining Physician-Nurse Efforts toward Collaboration as Perceived by Medical Students.

Collaboration between physicians and nurses is essential to healthcare delivery and is associated with high-quality patient care, greater patient satisfaction, and better health outcomes. Hence, it is imperative that doctors and nurses have a particular set of interprofessional collaboration skills. This descriptive cross-sectional study assessed how medical students in the pre-clinical and clinical years perceived attitudes toward collaboration between physicians and nurses in a hospital setting.

Oxidative Damages to Eye Stem Cells, in Response to, Bright and Ultraviolet Light, Their Associated Mechanisms, and Salvage Pathways.

The surface of the eye is continuously exposed to the harshness of the external environment. As a homeostatic mechanism for replenishing the worn off cells of the ocular surface, a balance is maintained via the role of ocular stem cells. However, under extreme conditions of harshness like exposure to bright and ultraviolet light, the ocular stem cells are unable to do the repair mechanisms resulting in severe impairment of vision and disturbances in the eye.

Endometrial receptivity and human embryo implantation.

Problem: The pre-requisite of successful implantation involves an intricate cascade of molecular interactions which plays a crucial role in preparing receptive endometrium and implanting blastocyst.

Method Of Study: Data are hereby presented for a better understanding of endometrial receptivity in women, hoping to provide a comprehensive picture of the process and identify new areas of basic and translational research in the biology of blastocyst implantation.

Results: Timely regulation of the expression of a number of complex molecules like hormones, cytokines and growth factors, and their crosstalk from embryonic and maternal endometrial side play a major role in determining the fate of the embryo.

In vitro action of leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) on mid-secretory stage endometrial stromal cells collected from hormone-simulated, ovariectomized monkey and maintained in three-dimensional primary culture.

Leukemia inhibitory factor (LIF) is a pleiotropic cytokine that is known to play an important role in blastocyst implantation. The putative action of LIF in the regulation of uterine function has been examined using mid-secretory stage monkey endometrial stromal cells cultured on rat-tail collagen type I and treated with recombinant human LIF (rhLIF) or immunoneutralized LIF (in LIF) under serum-free condition. Long-term ovariectomized rhesus monkeys (n=8) underwent simulation of their menstrual cycles with steroid hormones and endometrial tissue samples were collected on cycle day 18; stromal cells were isolated and grown in primary culture on three-dimensional collagen matrix.
