Background: Despite the multiple potential benefits, individuals with bipolar disorder (BD) report lower levels of moderate-vigorous exercise. We examined the correlates of exercise preference and tolerance among youth with BD, to inform future exercise intervention studies.

Methods: In this cross-sectional study 107 adolescents (n = 54 BD, n = 53 healthy controls [HC]) completed the self-reported Preference for and Tolerance of the Intensity of Exercise Questionnaire, a 20-minute bout of moderate intensity aerobic exercise, and the Borg Rating of Perceived Exertion.

The etiology of idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (iDCM) remains unknown. Immune therapies have improved outcome in fetuses with DCM born to mothers with autoimmune disease (aDCM). The purpose of this retrospective study was to compare the myocardial B and T cell profiles in fetuses and neonates with idiopathic DCM (iDCM) versus autoimmune-mediated DCM (aDCM) and to describe the normal cell maturation within the human fetal myocardium.

Background: Disturbed sleep is associated with atherosclerosis in native coronary arteries and may be associated with adverse cardiac events after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). We sought to determine the association between symptoms of disturbed sleep and adverse cardiovascular events after PCI.

Methods: Outpatients who were stable after successful PCI were assessed for symptoms of disturbed sleep with 10 true/false questions.
