Atmospheric pressure plasma jets are gaining a lot of attention due to their widespread applications in the field of bio-decontamination, polymer modification, material processing, deposition of thin film, and nanoparticle fabrication. Herein, we are reporting the disinfection of , and bacteria using plasma jet. In this regard, Ar-O, Ar-N, and Ar-O-N mixture plasma is generated and characterized using optical and electrical characterization.

The calculations were performed close to the Fermi surface for the Seebeck coefficient and other thermoelectric parameters. Our results demonstrated that CoSb exhibited the highest Seebeck value at room temperature among all the compounds (CoP, CoAs, CoSb, IrP, IrAs, IrSb, RhAs, and RhSb), which confirmed that this compound is an ideal host material for thermoelectric applications.

In addition to traditional food flavoring uses, Mentha are well recognized for their folk medicinal uses, especially to treat cold, fever, and digestive and cardiovascular disorders. A number of biological activities such as antioxidant, antimicrobial, biopesticidal, antitumor, anticancer, antiviral, antiallergic, antiinflammatory, antihypertensive, and urease inhibitory activity have been ascribed to Mentha.

They also mediate biotransformation of complex organic materials to simpler and useful by-product. Therefore, the role of plant endophyte in plant growth promotion and stress tolerance has gained considerable attention in recent days.

Methods: The tracheorelaxant activity of crude extract of the rhizomes of P. verticillatum (PR) was assessed in isolated guinea-pig tracheal tissues immersed in tissue organ bath filled with Tyrode's solution and a continuous supply of carbogen gas (95% O2 and 5% CO2).
Polygonatum verticillatum is commonly used for the treatment of asthma and inflammation. The current study was aimed to scrutinize the pharmacological profile of methanolic extract of the aerial parts (PA). Isolated tracheal preparations were used for the evaluation of bronchodilatory activity, whilst the in vivo carrageenan-induced paw oedema test and an in vitro lipoxygenase (LOX) inhibitory assay were used for the assessment of the anti-inflammatory profile of PA.

The crude methanol extract of rhizomes (PR) and aerial parts (PA) of the plant were tested in Brewer's-yeast-induced pyrexia and pentylenetetrazole-induced convulsion test. PR and PA both evoked prominent antipyretic activity (p < 0.

Lepidium sativum is widely used in folk medicine for treatment of hyperactive airways disorders, such as asthma, bronchitis and cough. The crude extract of Lepidium sativum (Ls.Cr) inhibited carbachol (CCh, 1 μM-) and K(+) (80 mM-) induced contractions in a pattern similar to that of dicyclomine.
