Various improvement strategies have been developed to enhance the visible light photocatalytic properties of materials. In these enhancement strategies, bismuth, a non-noble metal-based plasma metal, is deposited on the surface of the photocatalyst, which can improve the visible light response and photocatalytic performance of the photocatalyst. Addressing the effects of human-caused habitat destruction on free-ranging threatened large carnivores requires actions that go 'beyond borders' in conserving and protecting their habitat and prey base. In this review, we compiled information from available literature on 20 years of conservation efforts aimed at tigers, co-predators, and their prey in the Far-Eastern Himalayan Landscape that is situated at the confluence of three global biodiversity hotspots covering parts of India, Myanmar, and China. The vast area of the proven biodiversity-rich forested landscape is highly suitable for long-term survival of carnivores, such as tigers.

In this study, we investigated the mammal communities of two areas in Myanmar with similar environmental conditions but with great differences in habitat degradation and human disturbance. Effective conservation demands more accurate and reliable methods of survey and monitoring of populations. Surveys of gibbon populations have relied mostly on mapping of groups in "listening areas" using acoustical point-count data. Traditional methods of estimating density in have usually used counts of gibbon groups within fixed-radius areas or areas bounded by terrain barriers to sound transmission, and have not accounted for possible decline in detectability with distance.

While most preventive measures are ineffective in reducing dementia risk, active treatment of hypertension in middle-aged and older adults without dementia may reduce the incidence of dementia. Although the construction of clay-supported photocatalyst is a promising strategy to develop the low cost and high activity photocatalyst, only few works researched the effect of their interfaces on the photocatalytic performance. Herein, a monoclinic BiVO/sepiolite nanocomposite was fabricated as case to study the transport mechanism of photogenerated carries based on the interfaces effect. The obtained BiVO/sepiolite nanocomposites exhibited excellent visible light photocatalytic performance.

The baseline susceptibility of the lesser bandicoot rat, Bandicota bengalensis, from Rangoon, Burma, to five anticoagulant rodenticides was established with no-choice feeding in the laboratory. The susceptibility of lesser bandicoots to the several poisons (brodifacoum, difenacoum, diphacinone, coumatetralyl, and warfarin) was such that they were offered at a 0.001% concentration.
