Objective: To explore the association of various adiposity parameters in young adults.
Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted at Bahria University Medical and Dental College, Karachi, from January to February 2021, and comprised healthy medical students aged 19-21 years. Height, weight, body mass index, waist circumference, waist-hip ratio and percentage body fat were recorded.
Introduction: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a clinical syndrome characterized by hyperglycemia due to absolute or relative insulin deficiency. Cardiovascular autonomic neuropathy invokes potentially life threatening outcomes especially in poorly controlled diabetic patients. Methods: A total 60 suspected cases of adult celiac disease, both males and females were screened out from Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences hospital and private clinics at Sadar Hyderabad Sind by non probability purposive sampling during a period from July 2011 to December 2012.Age ranged between 18 to 55 Years.
Objectives: To find out the frequency and etiology of lymphadenopathy at various sites distant from perihepatic region during combination therapy (pegylated interferon Alpha Plus Ribavirin) for chronic hepatitis C.
Methods: Retrospective case-control study conducted at Medical unit I of Liaquat University Hospital Jamshoro, Sind, Pakistan. The charts of 205 patients undergoing antiviral therapy with pegylated interferon alpha plus ribavirin for chronic hepatitis C at our ward from May 2009 to April 2010, were reviewed for those who developed lymphadenopathy at sites distant from perihepatic region.
