Mitochondria being one of the primary sources of energy, plays an important role in placentation and fetal development. In IUGR pregnancy, increased oxidative stress due to inadequate oxygen and nutrient supply could possibly alter mitochondrial functions and homeostasis.

Autophagy can either be cytoprotective or promote cell death in a context-dependent manner in response to stress. How autophagy leads to autophagy dependent cell death requires further clarification. In this study, we document a nonlinear roller coaster form of autophagy oscillation when cells are subjected to different stress conditions.

In contrast, noscapine, an antitussive drug showed antitumor activity against many cancers without any side effects that targets microtubules and attenuates its dynamic instability. In the quest for an increase in the anticancer activity of noscapine, we strategically designed a novel derivative, 9-vinyl phenyl noscapine (VPN), based on our molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation effort.

In this paper, a nonlinear fractional order epidemic model for HIV transmission is proposed and analyzed by including extra compartment namely exposed class to the basic SIR epidemic model. Also, the infected class of female sex workers is divided into unaware infectives and the aware infectives. The focus is on the spread of HIV by female sex workers through prostitution, because in the present world sexual transmission is the major cause of the HIV transmission.

In 2014-2015, Karuna Trust, a nongovernmental organization, Bengaluru, India, introduced an electronic health record (EHR) innovation, namely "Comprehensive Public Health Management" application (CPHM App). Data could be entered in an offline mode followed by syncing with cloud.

Health education to schoolchildren in their formative age is the most effective method to be able to modify their habits, and further, they can be enrolled as an effective health educator for their parents.
Objective: To study the effectiveness of health education module on study participants about prevention and control of hypertension (HTN) and the effectiveness of child as a health educator on parents' knowledge about prevention and control of HTN.
Increasing incidences of multidrug-resistant (MDR) pathogens causing endophthalmitis threaten our ability to treat this condition, and the modulation of inflammatory responses by MDR bacteria is not known. In this study, using human microglia and retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells, we compare the inflammatory responses of sensitive (S-) and multidrug-resistant (MDR-) clinical isolates of . Infected cells were subjected to qPCR analysis, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and immunostaining to assess the expression of inflammatory mediators.

Of the five PAD enzyme isoforms, PAD2 and PAD4 are the most strongly implicated in RA at both genetic and cellular levels, and PAD inhibitors have shown therapeutic efficacy in mouse models of inflammatory arthritis. PAD2 and PAD4 are additionally targeted by autoantibodies in distinct clinical subsets of patients with RA, suggesting anti-PAD antibodies as possible biomarkers for RA diagnosis and prognosis.
