This study aims to investigate the effect of modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder on the suppressor of cytokine signaling 3(SOCS3)/Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4) signaling pathway in gastric tissue of rats with chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG).Sixty SPF-grade SD rats were randomly assigned into the normal group, model group, Moluo Pills group, and high-, medium-, and low-dose groups of modified Danggui Shaoyao Powder. The rats in other groups except the normal group were treated with N-methyl-N'-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine(MNNG) to establish the CAG model.

Article Synopsis
  • - A new method was developed to quantitatively detect HBV cccDNA using specific primers and probes designed to differentiate between cccDNA and rcDNA, ensuring accurate results in liver biopsy specimens from chronic hepatitis B patients.
  • - The method demonstrated high sensitivity (10³-10¹⁰ copies/ml), specificity, and reproducibility, verified through extensive testing, including sequencing PCR products and comparing results from 30 replicates.
  • - Results showed a significant presence of cccDNA in liver tissue samples, constituting an average of 81.5% of total HBV DNA, and the method's effectiveness makes it suitable for both scientific and clinical applications, particularly in assessing the impact of treatments like Lamivudine on HBV

Aim: To investigate the clinical significance and presence of mutations in the surface (S) and overlapping polymerase gene of hepatitis B patients with coexisting HBsAg and anti-HBs.

Methods: Twenty-three patients with chronic hepatitis B were studied. Of the 23 patients, 11 were both positive for hepatitis B virus (HBV) surface antigen (HBsAg) and antibody to HBV surface antigen (anti-HBs), 12 were negative for anti-HBs while positive for HBsAg.
