The 2011-12 Egyptian revolution (, revolution of 25 January) took place following a popular uprising that began on Tuesday 25 January 2011 and is still continuing. The uprising was mainly a campaign of non-violent civil resistance. In this revolution the participants have proved that if resistance begins with sincerity and unity, it may yet achieve victory.
