In this work, Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) encapsulated in the surface of crystalline nano cellulose grafted poly citric acid (CNC-g-PCA) and CNC-g-PCA/Au nanocomposite were synthesized successfully that exhibited stable and intense fluorescence property in aqueous buffer. A dual-mode nanosensor is reported with both colorimetric and fluorimetric readout based on citrate-protected AuNPs for discriminative detection of gluten proteins. The proposed sensing system consists of AuNPs and fluorescent CNCs, where CNCs function as a fluorimetric reporter and AuNPs serve a dual function as a colorimetric reporter and fluorescence quencher.

Objective: In this study, an optical nanosensor was fabricated using nano-Dragendorff's reagent to detect and determine scopolamine in different plant parts at different stages of growth.
Method: For fabrication of the sensing phase, GO-g-PCA/DR was synthesized by encapsulation of Dragendorff's reagent (DR) on the graphene oxide grafted with poly citric acid (GO-g-PCA) with ultrasonication for 15 min and stirred for 80 min at room temperature, and then it was immobilized on a triacetyl cellulose membrane.
Chemical enhanced oil recovery (EOR) through waterflooding is the most commonly used method to improve crude oil displacement and extraction however; the impact of environmental side effects may remain ambiguous. Regarding, flooding tagged water with tracers provides a better understanding of the fate of injected water and the reservoir conditions more than oil recovery. This study's main focus is the proposed carbon dots (CDs) to develop fluorescent-tagged with dual functions as a sensing and an enhancing agent for EOR operations.

In this study synthesis of graphene oxide-poly citric acid/MnCeFeO nanoferrofluid with a simple method and its ability for enhancing the contrast of magnetic resonance images was reported. The co-precipitation method has been used for the production of MnCeFeO nanoparticles with a size distribution of 25-40 nm, which has shown a very good superparamagnetic property with saturation magnetization (M) 53.6 emu g.

Covalent attachment to PCA agents is the main method for the modification of CNTs with polymers. By this method electrocatalysts with a narrow particle-size distribution and good dispersion have been produced.

Because of the presence of conjugated citric acid branches, synthesized MWCNT-g-PCA hybrid materials were not only soluble in water but also able to trap water-soluble chemical species and metal ions. Trapping of pesticides such as zineb and mancozeb in aqueous solution by MWCNT-g-PCA hybrid materials led to encapsulated pesticide (EP) in the polycitric acid shell.

The method is based on the difference in the rate of the reaction between CN(-) and SCN(-) ions with chloramine-T in a pH 4.0 buffer solution and at 30 degrees C.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA rapid, simple, and sensitive differential kinetic method is presented for the determinations of acetaminophen (also known as paracetamol) and salicylamide. The method is based on their oxidation reaction by Fe3+ ion in the presence of 1, 10-phenanthroline as indicator. The reactions can be monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the increase in the absorbance of the solution at 510 nm.
