Coexistence of Hodgkin Lymphoma and Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Tongue: A Case Report and Literature Review.

We report an unusual case of a 39-year-old male patient with a previous history of treated classical Hodgkin lymphoma, presenting with tongue ulcer and left ear pain who was subsequently diagnosed with invasive squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharynx. This case highlights the importance of vigilance in patients with a history of lymphoma and the potential for the development of secondary malignancies. We discuss the clinical, radiological, and pathological findings and emphasize the need for close monitoring and early intervention in such cases.

Anaplastic lymphoma kinase rearrangement-associated renal cell carcinoma: Rare subset case report.

Anaplastic lymphoma kinase rearrangement-associated renal cell carcinoma (ALK-RCC) is a rare subtype of renal cell carcinoma characterized by genetic rearrangements involving the ALK gene. Managing ALK-RCC is challenging due to its rarity and limited treatment options. Targeted therapies directed at the ALK gene have shown promise.

Renomedullary Interstitial Cell Tumor in the Background of a Renal Oncocytoma: A Case Report.

Renomedullary interstitial cell tumors (RMICTs) are rare benign renal tumors that arise from the renal medulla. They are rarely symptomatic and are mostly discovered incidentally. Radiologically, their co-presence ipsilaterally in the background of a larger mass introduces a miscellaneous presentation that raises the suspicion of metastatic disease.

Challenges and Uncertainties in the Diagnosis of Cardiac Amyloidosis: A Case Report.

Amyloidosis is the condition when starch-like misfolded proteins form insoluble fibrils that deposit in tissues and cause dysfunction. Cardiac amyloidosis occurs due to the deposition of amyloid fibrils at the cardiac level and is an important cause of heart failure. This case reveals a patient with significant heart failure and arrhythmia, which later on turned out to be caused by cardiac amyloidosis.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) Induced Higher-Grade Transformation of a Benign Meningioma into Atypical Meningioma.

Background: Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is a widely used treatment modality for the management of meningioma. Whether used as a primary, adjuvant, or salvage procedure, SRS is a safe, less invasive, and effective modality of treatment as microsurgery. The transformation of a meningioma following radiosurgery raises a concern, and our current understanding about it is extremely limited.
