Expression of CDK6 in Oral Squamous Cell Carcinomas.

Background: CDK6 is the key factor in regulation of the cell cycle and essential for passage into the G1 phase. It also plays an important role in the development of various tumors. In this cross-sectional study expression of the CDK6 protein in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) and healthy oral mucosa of controls was assessed to determine relations with malignant transformation and clinicopathologic factors.

Evaluation of Midkine Expression in Dentigerous Cysts, Odontogenic Keratocysts and Different Types of Ameloblastoma.

Objective: Midkine is a heparin-binding growth factor whose expression is increased in most tumors, namely ameloblastomas. This study aimed to compare Midkine expression in different odontogenic lesions.

Material And Method: This analytical cross-sectional study was performed on 52 definitely diagnosed odontogenic lesions including 15 dentigerous cysts, 13 odontogenic keratocysts, and 17 unicystic and 5 multicystic ameloblastomas archived from 1997 to 2015.

Serum Levels of Cyfra 21 in Patients with Benign and Malignant Salivary Gland Tumors.

Introduction: Cyfra 21 is a serum-soluble fragment of cytokeratin19. Increased Cyfra 21 serum levels and their benefit as a tumor marker have been shown in some malignancies. This study aimed to evaluate the serum levels of Cyfra 21 in patients with benign and malignant salivary gland tumors.
