Introduction: Obesity is a multifactorial disease caused by an interaction between genetic, environmental and behavioral factors. Polymorphisms of the two genes Circadian Locomotor Output Cycles Kaput (CLOCK) rs1801260 and Melanocortin-4-receptor (MC4R) rs17782313, are associated with obesity. Knowledge is limited on the interaction between CLOCK, MC4R and obesity.

It is necessary to study the factors related to compassion fatigue and satisfaction in order to effectively deal with it. Using a narrative review and inclusion criteria, we searched online databases for related studies from 2000 to 2023.

For unresectable STS, the dose escalation required to achieve durable control is often limited by long-term toxicity risk. We sought to compare an isotoxic approach utilizing hypofractionated accelerated radiation dose-painting (HARD) versus standard fractionated radiation therapy (SFT) in patients with unresected STS.

This study aimed to conduct an overview of systematic reviews in the field of violence against adults with disability. Eight electronic databases as well as gray literature from January 2022 to April 2023 were searched to identify systematic reviews that focused on violence against adults with disabilities. A total of 13 high-quality systematic reviews were included in the overview.

With their low α/β, STS may be more responsive to hypofractionated radiation therapy (RT), which is often limited by long-term toxicity risk to surrounding normal tissue. An isotoxic approach using a hypofractionated accelerated radiation dose-painting (HARD) regimen allows for dosing based on clinical risk while sparing adjacent organs at risk.

Stereotactic MR-guided adaptive radiation therapy (SMART) can overcome many of the challenges associated with SABR treatment of ultracentral lesions.
Methods: We retrospectively identified 14 consecutive patients who received SMART to ultracentral lung lesions from 10/2019 to 01/2021.
Background: One way of delivering psychological services is tele-psychotherapy, which has attracted significant attention as a viable approach. This study aimed to identify important variables in the application of tele-counseling and psychotherapy for the treatment of patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in Isfahan, Iran.
Materials And Methods: This research employed an exploratory qualitative methodology.

Recovery from traumatic grief after parental loss is a challenging and gradual process. The current study aimed to capture the rich and nuanced experiences of adolescents' healing process after traumatically losing their parent(s). A phenomenological approach was utilized for data collection and analysis.

Background: Soft tissue sarcomas (STS), have significant inter- and intra-tumoral heterogeneity, with poor response to standard neoadjuvant radiotherapy (RT). Achieving a favorable pathologic response (FPR ≥ 95%) from RT is associated with improved patient outcome. Genomic adjusted radiation dose (GARD), a radiation-specific metric that quantifies the expected RT treatment effect as a function of tumor dose and genomics, proposed that STS is significantly underdosed.

This study evaluates the acute toxicity of a hypofractionated accelerated RT dose-painting (HARD) approach for postoperative treatment of STS.
Methods And Materials: This is a retrospective review of 53 consecutive patients with STS who underwent resection followed by postoperative RT.
Inherited photosensitivity syndromes are a heterogeneous group of genetic skin disorders with tremendous phenotypic variability, characterized by photosensitivity and defective DNA repair, especially nucleotide excision repair. A cohort of 17 Iranian families with heritable photosensitivity syndromes was evaluated to identify their genetic defect. The patients' DNA was analyzed with either whole-exome sequencing or RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq).

Previous attempts to incorporate DWI into the workflow of a 0.35 T MR-linac (MRL) have lacked quantitative accuracy.

The two diseases interact with each other so that kidney failure exacerbates periodontal disease and periodontal disease increases the severity of the renal failure. This study aimed to compare the effect of scaling and root planning on the periodontal status of hemodialysis patients and the healthy control group.

Methods: A qualitative descriptive design was used as a study design and a thematic analysis was employed to collect and analyse the data. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with 37 participants (26 patients with obsessive compulsive disorder and 11 counselors).

Adolescents' mental health may be influenced either negatively or positively through loss of a parent, especially bereavement due to a traumatic death. This descriptive phenomenological study aimed to investigate Afghan adolescents' post-traumatic growth after traumatic loss of father. The participants were 14 female and male Afghan adolescents who met the inclusion criteria.

Objective: We sought to determine the prognostic significance of pCR on survival outcomes in STS for patients receiving neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (CT-RT) (Radiation Therapy Oncology Group [RTOG] 9514) or preoperative image-guided radiotherapy alone (RT, RTOG 0630) and provide a long-term update of RTOG 0630.
Design, Setting, And Participants: RTOG has completed 2 multi-institutional, nonrandomized phase 2 clinical trials for patients with localized STS.

Purpose: Neoadjuvant radiation therapy (RT) with standard techniques (ST) offers a modest benefit in retroperitoneal sarcoma (RPS). As the high-risk region (HRR) at risk for a positive surgical margin and recurrence is posterior and away from radiosensitive organs at risk, using a simultaneous integrated boost (SIB) allows targeted dose escalation to the HRR while sparing these organs. We hypothesized that neoadjuvant SIB RT can improve disease control compared with ST, without increasing toxicity.
