Background: A quarter of patients with severe aortic stenosis (AS) were asymptomatic, and only a third of them survived at the end of 4 years. Only a select subset of these patients was recommended for aortic valve replacement (AVR) by the current American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association guidelines. We intended to study the effect of early AVR (eAVR) in this subset of asymptomatic patients with preserved left ventricle function.

Background: Visual assessment of coronary artery stenosis severity, particularly in intermediate lesions, is prone to errors in decision-making. FFR provides a reliable assessment of functional severity in these cases but requires hyperemia induction by adenosine, which has side effects and increased cost.

The newly designed Myval Octacor has been introduced recently, aiming for a reduction in AR and improved performance.
Objectives: The focus of this study is to report the incidence of AR using the validated quantitative Videodensitometry angiography technology (qLVOT-AR%) in the first in human use of the Myval Octacor THV system.
Background: Coronary stent infection (CSI) represents a rare but potentially fatal complication of percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). A systematic review and meta-analysis of published reports was performed to profile CSI and its management strategies.
Methods: Online database searches were performed using MeSH and keywords.
Background: Patients with symptomatic calcified coronary lesions have poor outcomes. Such lesions require additional atherectomy devices for bed preparation.
Aim: To assess the safety and efficacy of OPN balloon in patients with calcified coronary lesions.
The reported incidence of liposarcomas in ~2,000 cases annually results in about 30% of myxoid liposarcomas. Cardiac myoxid liposarcomas are very rare; their presentation could be cardiac tamponade, due to direct compression of the tumor and/or pericardial effusion. In this report, we describe a patient who presented with pericardial effusion secondary to myoxid liposarcomas from the right atrium, an extremely rare presentation of liposarcomas in the heart.

Background: Transcatheter aortic and mitral valve-in-valve (ViV) or valve-in-ring (ViR) implantation into failed bioprosthetic heart valves (BHVs) or rings represents an appealing, less invasive, treatment option for patients at high surgical risk. Nowadays, few data have been reported on the use of balloon-expandable Myval (Meril Life Science, Vapi, India) transcatheter heart valve (THV) for the treatment of degenerated BHVs or rings. CR is preferred to culprit-only revascularization for patients with STEMI and MVD. Introduction: Trans-radial approach (TRA) is recommended over trans-femoral approach (TFA) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). We intended to study the effect of access on all-cause mortality.

Introduction: Dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) remains the cornerstone of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) management, and ticagrelor is one of the commonly used second antiplatelet agents. There is some evidence to suggest that morphine may reduce the antiplatelet effect of ticagrelor.
Methods And Results: In a single-center, randomized controlled trial, we compared the effect of morphine and fentanyl on platelet aggregation (PA) among patients with ACS treated with ticagrelor.
Background: The impact of the 2017 American College of Cardiology (ACC)/American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines for diagnosis and management of hypertension on the prevalence of hypertension in India is unknown.
Methods: We analyzed data from the Cardiac Prevent 2015 survey to estimate the change in the prevalence of hypertension. The JNC8 guidelines defined hypertension as a systolic blood pressure of ≥140 mmHg or diastolic blood pressure of ≥90 mmHg.
Background: Dual antiplatelet therapy is the current standard of care after acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). We intended to study the pattern of use of ticagrelor in patients with acute coronary syndrome undergoing PCI and the effect of switching over to other P2Y12 receptor inhibition on clinical outcomes.
Results: All patients aged > 18 years who had been admitted with acute coronary syndrome and had been provided ticagrelor as the second antiplatelet agent were included as study participants.
Introduction: Numerous case series have reported on the baseline characteristics and in-hospital mortality of patients with COVID-19, however, these studies included patients localized in a specific geographic region. The purpose of our study was to identify differences in the clinical characteristics and the in-hospital mortality of patients with a laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 internationally.
Methods: A comprehensive search of all published literature on adult patients with laboratory-confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 that reported on the clinical characteristics and in-hospital mortality was performed.
