The paper reports the time-domain THz spectroscopy studies of noncentrosymmetric energetic nitro/nitrogen-rich aryl-tetrazole high-energy molecules. The fingerprint spectra in the THz domain reveal the role of different functional groups attached to position "1" of the tetrazole moiety, which controls the energetic properties. These responses are deliberated through density functional theory (DFT) calculations.

For the development of renal diseases, oxidative stress (OS) is reasoned to be one of the risk factors. For the treatment or prevention of the renal disease, the use of antioxidants could be a hopeful therapeutic mediation as they retard or block the oxidative reaction along with the inflammatory process. Luteolin (Lut) is a plant flavonoid, a pharmacologically active component normally found in glycosylated forms in basic perilla leaf, green pepper, celery, seed, honeysuckle bloom, and chamomile blossom; it exhibits antioxidant activity.

A novel one-pot strategy has been developed for the construction of spiro-isoindolinone-benzosultams through a Ru(ii)-catalyzed sequential C-C and C-N bond formation. This method is highly atom-economical and compatible with a wide range of substituents. This is the first report on the spirocyclization of 3-aryl N-sulfonyl ketimines with aryl isocyanates to produce highly rigid and pharmaceutically relevant spirocycles through a C-H bond activation.

Identification of the structural and energetic determinants responsible for enhancing the stability of proteins is crucial. Hyperthermophilic proteins are naturally occurring proteins that exhibit high thermal stability and are good candidates for the investigation and understanding of structure-stability relationships. Sac7d from Sulfolobus acidocaldarius and Sso7d from Sulfolobus solfactaricus are two homologous hyperthermophilic proteins that were shown to be quite stable at high temperatures.

We report an isolated giant solid macronodular tuberculoma in an 8-year-old boy. A large-space-occupying lesion in the right lobe with nodular surface and hard consistency mimicked liver malignancy. This case is unusual as the ultrasonography, computed tomography scan, and aspiration cytology were all suggestive of a malignant tumor.
