Investigating Emotional Intelligence: A Cross-Sectional Study of Pune's Postgraduate Medical Scholars.

Introduction Emotional intelligence (EI), which encompasses the ability to perceive, understand, and manage emotions, is crucial for effective human interaction. In healthcare, especially in medicine, compassion and empathy are prioritized qualities associated with enhanced patient outcomes, increased patient compliance, and overall improved healthcare experiences. This study focused on postgraduate medical students to assess their EI levels and identify influencing factors.

In-silico and In-vitro Evaluation of Novel Carboxamide Analogue on the Metastasis of Triple Negative Breast Cancer Cells Utilizing Novel PCPTC-loaded PEGylated-PLGA Nanocarriers.

This study aimed to determine the effects of novel N-{3-[(pyridin-4-yl)carbamoyl] phenyl} thiophene-2-carboxamide or PCPTC chemical moiety loaded Poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)-Poly (Ethylene glycol) or (PLGA-PEGylated) NP as an anti-metastatic Ran GTPase therapeutic agent on MDA-MB231 triple-negative human breast cancer cells. Molecular docking and MD simulation was done to determine the binding potential of novel carboxamide PCPTC with Ran GTPase. PLGA and PLGA-PEG based NP encapsulating PCPTC were fabricated using the Modified Double Emulsion Solvent Evaporation Technique and characterized for size, zeta potential, polydispersity and morphology.

Clinical outcomes of abbreviated high dose-rate brachytherapy in locally advanced cervical cancer: lessons from the COVID pandemic for high dose-rate fractionation.

Purpose: To evaluate outcomes of cervical cancer patients treated with abbreviated high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR-BT) that used 2-implants and delivered 4-5 fractions over 7-12 days rather than 21-28 days.

Materials And Methods: Patients with stage IB2-IVA cervical cancer, treated with external beam radiation (EBRT) ± chemotherapy followed by abbreviated MR/CT-based HDR-BT were included. The planning aim was to achieve > 70Gy equivalent doses in 2Gy (EQD2) at Point A dose in patients undergoing intracavitary BT (ICBT) and > 85Gy EQD2 to the HRCTV in intracavitary-interstitial BT (IC-ISBT).

Introduction: Proximal femoral nail antirotation - II (PFNA- II) is a common treatment for intertrochanteric fractures in the elderly. Removing PFNA is difficult in rare circumstances due to blade head stripping or breaking. In this article, we endeavored to explain an easy methodology that can be utilized to remove stripped, damaged anti-rotation blades for which few had been formulated but other procedures have failed.

Adverse Childhood Events Significantly Impact Depression and Mental Distress in Adults with a History of Cancer.

Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are linked to a heightened risk of depression. We explored the relationship between ACEs and both depression and mental distress among cancer survivors. This was a cross-sectional analysis using the 2022 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System database of cancer survivors aged ≥18 (n = 14,132).

Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Pancreas: A Case Report.

Primary squamous cell carcinoma (PSCC) of the pancreas is a rare malignancy with poor prognosis and unclear management. Here, we present the case of a patient with PSCC, review the literature, identify areas of therapeutic uncertainty, and conclude that more clinical and molecular data are needed to improve the prognosis of this rare malignancy.

Omission of 5-Fluorouracil Bolus From Multidrug Regimens for Advanced Gastrointestinal Cancers: A Multicenter Cohort Study.

Background: 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is a major component of gastrointestinal cancer treatments. In multidrug regimens such as FOLFOX, FOLFIRI, and FOLFIRINOX, 5-FU is commonly administered as a bolus followed by an infusion. However, the pharmacologic rationale for incorporating the 5-FU bolus in these regimens is unclear, and there are other effective regimens for gastrointestinal cancers that do not include the bolus.

Gastric neuroendocrine neoplasms (G-NENs) are a heterogeneous group of tumors that broadly fall into two groups. The first group, driven by oversecretion of gastrin, are generally multifocal, small, and behave indolently with a low (but non-zero) risk of progression and metastatic spread. They are conventionally categorized into type 1, with endogenous gastric-based overproduction of gastrin, and type 2 G-NEN, with overproduction of gastrin from an extra-gastric gastrin-secreting tumor.

Real time adaptive probabilistic recurrent Takagi-Sugeno-Kang fuzzy neural network proportional-integral-derivative controller for nonlinear systems.

This paper presents an adaptive probabilistic recurrent Takagi-Sugeno-Kang fuzzy neural PID controller for handling the problems of uncertainties in nonlinear systems. The proposed controller combines probabilistic processing with a Takagi-Sugeno-Kang fuzzy neural system to proficiently address stochastic uncertainties in controlled systems. The stability of the controlled system is ensured through the utilization of Lyapunov function to adjust the controller parameters.

Spontaneous weathering of natural minerals in charged water microdroplets forms nanomaterials.

In this work, we show that particles of common minerals break down spontaneously to form nanoparticles in charged water microdroplets within milliseconds. We transformed micron-sized natural minerals like quartz and ruby into 5- to 10-nanometer particles when integrated into aqueous microdroplets generated via electrospray. We deposited the droplets on a substrate, which allowed nanoparticle characterization.

Genetic improvement of semen characteristics is an important detail of the genetic improvement. This study was conducted to assess the relationship between the breeding values as well as the phenotypic values for semen traits (VOL, MM, LS, AS and CONC) of the Egyptian buffalo bulls.

Unveiling the Merger Structure of Black Hole Binaries in Generic Planar Orbits.

The precise modeling of binary black hole coalescences in generic planar orbits is a crucial step to disentangle dynamical and isolated binary formation channels through gravitational-wave observations. The merger regime of such coalescences exhibits a significantly higher complexity compared to the quasicircular case, and cannot be readily described through standard parametrizations in terms of eccentricity and anomaly. In the spirit of the effective one body formalism, we build on the study of the test-mass limit, and introduce a new modeling strategy to describe the general-relativistic dynamics of two-body systems in generic orbits.

Association between number of Adverse Childhood Experiences and depression among older adults is moderated by race.

Objective: This study aimed to assess the association between number of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) and history of depression among older adults and to explore the interaction by race.

Methods: This study was a cross-sectional analysis of the 2020 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) data among 60,122 older respondents (≥ 60 years old). The ACE score (zero, one, two-three, ≥four) included questions assessing exposure to eight types of ACEs before age 18.
