Bariatric surgery is recommended for patients with unhealthy weight. Our study aim to compare and rank different bariatric surgical approaches in reducing weight parameters. We searched MEDLINE, Cochrane CENTRAL, Scopus, and Web of Science databases from inception to September 2023.

Medications, including budesonide, mesalamine, loperamide, cholestyramine, and bismuth subsalicylate, are first-line therapies. Meanwhile, azathioprine, 6-mercaptopurine, and methotrexate are indicated for refractory MC.

The most common factor reported in association with MPM is asbestos exposure, while viral infections, genetic predisposition, paraneoplastic syndrome, and altered immunity have been described as well. The diagnosis can be challenging among those with lower tumor burden as well as nonspecific symptoms, and it is not unusual to discover the diagnosis incidentally.

Methods: We searched Cochrane CENTRAL, PubMed, Web of Science, SCOPUS and Embase for related clinical trials about patients suffering from achalasia.
Introduction And Objectives: Hepatorenal syndrome (HRS) is a serious complication of cirrhosis treated with various medications. We aim to evaluate terlipressin and albumin's effectiveness and safety compared to albumin and noradrenaline in adult hepatorenal disease patients.
Materials And Methods: Clinical trials from four databases were included.

Background: Vascular complications following transfemoral TAVR are associated with increased morbidity and mortality. Measures that may mitigate this risk are important.
Aim: To evaluate the utility of routine, access-vessel angiography post sheath-removal in the detection and management of complications in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
Background: Radial artery occlusion is the most common complication of transradial catheterization. RAO is characterized by thrombus formation due to catheterization and endothelial damage. CHA2DS2-VASc scores are the current scoring systems used to determine the risk of thromboembolism in patients with atrial fibrillation.

In this study, we demonstrated the ability of hydroethanolic extracts from three different plants, (Vern), (Bac), and (Pla), to induce cell death. We focused on the most active Vern extract.

Introduction: The CHA2DS2-VASc (congestive heart failure, hypertension, age, diabetes mellitus, stroke, vascular disease and sex) score is a simple risk stratification algorithm to estimate stroke/thromboembolic risk in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AF). Higher pre-stroke CHA2DS2-VASc score is known to be associated with greater stroke severity and poorer outcomes. AF patients generally have higher CHA2DS2-VASc scores than non-AF patients.

TAVR is now indicated as an alternative to surgical replacement in a wide risk profile ranging from high to low surgical risk. Although vascular complications have decreased in frequency over time, with the introduction of lower profile delivery systems and sheaths, they remain one of the most frequently encountered and serious complications of TAVR.

A planned buddy guidewire placed in the left ventricle may help facilitate crossing of the IAS and mitral bioprosthesis with the THV.
Methods: A retrospective study of 12 consecutive patients undergoing transseptal, mitral valve-in-valve or valve-in-ring procedures using the Edwards Sapien-3 THV since 2018 with a planned buddy-wire technique.
A woman in her 30s presented with generalised tonic clonic seizure secondary to known pilocytic astrocytoma. This seizure activity resolved spontaneously after 5 min. On clinical assessment, she was neurologically stable and further neurological investigations did not reveal progression of previously recognised pilocytic astrocytoma.

Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) is favoured over open-heart surgery in high-risk patient categories and is increasingly used in lower-risk groups. End stage kidney disease (ESKD) is associated with premature calcific degeneration of bioprosthetic heart valves.

However, there are limited data on the comparative rates of tamponade. The study compared the rate of cardiac tamponade between LV and RV-pacing during TAVI.

Materials And Methods: An examination was conducted of employees who were issued with a report for incapacity to work due to the pandemic between March 2020 and March 2021. A record was made of the employees' ages, genders, fields of work and lost workdays.
Background: With the rising incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), ongoing efforts should be focused on providing equitable and state-of-the-art care to patients.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the survival of patients with HCC seen at a high-proportion Safety Net Hospital (h-SNH), where loco-regional therapy and hepatology services are available and liver transplantation (LT) is referred to outside facilities.
Patients And Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted on all patients with HCC seen at Valley Wise Health Center (VWHC) over a ten-year period.
Axial-flow ventricular assist devices are being increasingly used to support hemodynamically compromised patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention. Periprocedural valvular complications have been recognized in a few case reports. We present a unique case of entanglement of the Impella within he mitral subvalvular apparatus, retrieved successfully using a snare under fluoroscopic guidance.

We present a case of a 54-year-old man who was admitted with respiratory failure due to COVID-19 and developed a ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) during his admission. His coronary angiogram did not show any significant coronary artery disease other than a heavily thrombosed right coronary artery.
