Post-COVID-19 conditions (long COVID) has impacted many individuals, yet risk factors for this condition are poorly understood. This retrospective analysis of 88,943 COVID-19 patients at a multi-state US health system compares phenotypes, laboratory tests, medication orders, and outcomes for 1,086 long-COVID patients and their matched controls. We found that history of chronic pulmonary disease (CPD) (odds ratio: 1.

Methods: Slit lamp images of patients with CoNV were exported from the electronic medical records and included in the study. An experienced ophthalmologist made manual annotations of the CoNV areas, which were then used to create, train and evaluate an automated image analysis tool that uses deep learning to segment and detect CoNV areas.
Online peer-to-peer (P2P) sales of used and or high-value goods are gaining more and more relevance today. However, since potential buyers cannot physically examine the product quality during online sales, information asymmetries and consequently uncertainty and mistrust that already exist in offline sales are exacerbated in online markets. Authenticated data platforms have been proposed to solve these problems by providing authenticated data about the negotiation object, integrating it into text-based channels secured by IT.

Nonetheless, few studies have explored reasons why individuals choose to start MOUD or discontinue MOUD after starting, especially extended-release naltrexone. We sought to identify reasons why individuals start and stop MOUD, including the differences between starting and stopping the 3 most common formulations: methadone, sublingual buprenorphine, and extended-release naltrexone.

This study compares various characteristics of climacteric symptoms, illness conception, health-seeking behavior, and attitude towards menopause of Mosuo women, a Chinese ethnic minority with a matriarchal structure, and Han Chinese women, the majority ethnic group of China with a patriarchal structure.

Mosuo is a Chinese minority group with a matriarchal structure, and Han Chinese is the majority ethnic group in China with a patriarchal structure.
Methods: Through convenience sampling, 54 Mosuo women and 52 Han Chinese women between 40 and 60 years of age completed the sociodemographic questionnaire, the Menopause Rating Scale, the Self-Esteem Scale, and the Perceived Social Support Scale.
Background: Thyroiditis involves thyroid gland inflammation due to a wide variety of causes. The common varieties are subacute, silent and postpartum thyroiditis.
Aims And Objectives: To retrospectively collect demographic data of thyroiditis from Bangalore over the past 5 years.
Background: We report the use of positron emission tomography (PET) using 18F-FDG for the diagnosis of carditis in children with rheumatic heart disease (RHD).
Material And Methods: Thirty-six children aged 6-17 years (seventeen males and nineteen females) with isolated rheumatic significant mitral regurgitation (MR) underwent FDG-PET scanning of the heart after fasting for 6 h within a period of 2 years. They were divided into two groups based on Jones criteria - acute rheumatic carditis and chronic RHD.
French ethnopsychoanalytic approaches to therapy with immigrants combine the psychoanalytical interest in subjectivity with a specific concern for cultural factors and with the role migration plays as a crucial life event. Recent approaches consider culture as profoundly hybrid and use the notions of ''métissage'' and ''décentrage'' as central concepts. This article presents extracts from a qualitative study of ethnopsychoanalytic therapies with immigrant families.

We estimated the remnant mass by Tc-99m pertechnetate single-photon emission computed tomography to calculate the radiation dose delivered.
Materials And Methods: Thyroid phantoms of known volumes (1.
Cholecystectomy is one of the most commonly performed abdominal surgeries in which bile duct injury and bile leaks are the most important complications. Imaging plays an important role in the prompt diagnosis and management of bile leaks. The more common sites of bile leak are the gallbladder bed, subhepatic, in a bilioma, right paracolic gutter, or diffusely in the peritoneal cavity.

It affects as many as 2-4 in 1000 live births, however there are no epidemiological studies available from India. Anatomical and neurogenic abnormalities of the urinary tract are known to occur in these patients.

Methods: We studied 126 consecutive patients (89 male, 37 female; mean age 63+/-8 years) referred for dobutamine stress myocardial perfusion SPECT. Patients were divided into Group A (n=63), who underwent only dobutamine stress and group B (n=63) who were subjected to combined handgrip exercise and dobutamine infusion.
Study Design: Prospective randomized comparative study of two techniques for postoperative analgesia.
Objective: Assess the efficacy of two epidural catheters compared with intravenous morphine after anterior correction of thoracic scoliosis.
Summary Of Background Data: Spine surgery with anterior thoracotomy can cause severe postoperative pain.
Background: Rest gated 201Tl images are considered to be of poor count statistics due to lower energy and low photon flux of 201Tl in addition to increased attenuation and low dose that can be administered. We compared the left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF), end diastolic (EDV) and end systolic volume (ESV) obtained on 4 h gated rest 201Tl myocardial perfusion single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) with those obtained by two-dimensional echocardiography (2-D ECHO) in patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease (CAD).
Methods: Eighty-two consecutive patients who underwent gated 201Tl stress-rest myocardial perfusion SPECT and 2-D ECHO were studied.

Positron emission tomography is a functional diagnostic imaging technique, which can accurately measure in vivo distribution of a radiopharmaceutical with high resolution. The ability of positron emission tomography to study various biologic processes opens up new possibilities for both research and day-to-day clinical use. Positron emission tomography has progressed rapidly from being a research technique in laboratories to a routine clinical imaging modality becoming part of armamentarium for the medical profession.

Our experience also emphasises the role of routine post-radioiodine therapy whole body scan with high degree of clinical suspicion, which may reveal lesions otherwise not discernable in low dose whole body scan. All suspicious lesions should be subjected to structural imaging like ultrasound, CT or MRI for confirmation.

The use of continuous epidural analgesia through one or two epidural catheters placed intraoperatively by the surgeon has been shown to provide efficient postoperative pain control. In this prospective unblinded study, the authors compared the efficacy of continuous intravenous morphine with a continuous double epidural catheter technique with ropivacaine after scoliosis correction.
