To investigate the roles of (, and ) and () gene polymorphisms on the anesthetic and adverse effects of propofol-remifentanil total intravenous anesthesia in pediatric surgery. The genotypes were identified through Sanger sequencing. The clinical data including hemodynamics on anesthesia, postanesthesia pain and sedation score and the occurrence of adverse effects were recorded and compared against the genetic data.

Background: This prospective, randomized, single blind, single operator study was conducted to compare hemodynamic responses when endotracheal intubation was performed using the Bonfils intubation fibrescope versus the C-MAC videolaryngoscope.
Method: Forty-four ASA I patients aged between 18 and 60 years, scheduled for elective surgery requiring endotracheal intubation were recruited. They were randomized into the Bonfils group or C-MAC group.
Background And Objectives: Combined spinal-epidural (CSE) has become an increasingly popular alternative to traditional labour epidural due to its rapid onset and reliable analgesia provided. This was a prospective, convenient sampling study to determine the effects of CSE analgesia on labour outcome.
Methods: One hundred and ten healthy primigravida parturients with a singleton pregnancy of ≥37 weeks gestation and in the active phase of labour were studied.
