Urinary incontinence is a multifactorial health problem that significantly affects women's quality of life. This quasi-experimental pre/post-test study aimed to evaluate the effect of a self-care program on women suffering from urinary incontinence. The study was conducted at the urodynamic unit within Ain Shams Maternity University Hospital, with a purposive sample of 100 women diagnosed with urinary incontinence, with no medical or surgical conditions, and who were not pregnant.

Background: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is associated with extracellular matrix (ECM) remodelling and often coexists with myocardial fibrosis (MF); however, the causality of these conditions is not well established.

Objective: We aim to corroborate AF to MF causality by quantifying left atrial (LA) fibrosis in cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) images after persistent rapid ventricular pacing and subsequent AF using a canine model and histopathological validation.

Methods: Twelve canines (9 experimental, 3 control) underwent baseline 3D LGE-CMR imaging at 3T followed by insertion of a pacing device and 5 weeks of rapid ventricular pacing to induce AF (experimental) or no pacing (control).

Purpose: T1-mapping cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging permits noninvasive quantification of myocardial fibrosis (MF); however, manual delineation of myocardial boundaries is time-consuming and introduces user-dependent variability for such measurements. In this study, we compare several automated pipelines for myocardial segmentation of the left ventricle (LV) in native and contrast-enhanced T1-maps using fully convolutional neural networks (CNNs).

Methods: Sixty patients with known MF across three distinct cardiomyopathy states (20 ischemic (ICM), 20 dilated (DCM), and 20 hypertrophic (HCM)) underwent a standard CMR imaging protocol inclusive of cinematic (CINE), late gadolinium enhancement (LGE), and pre/post-contrast T1 imaging.

Purpose: Myocardial infarct (MI) may consist of an infarct core (IC) and a heterogeneous, semi-viable border zone (BZ). Patients with chronic MI in the left ventricular (LV) myocardium are at increased risk of developing ventricular arrhythmias, and may therefore qualify for implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) therapy. Indices based on MI mass, as determined by cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging, are shown to be sensitive in predicting adverse ventricular arrhythmic events.

Objectives: This in vitro study aimed to evaluate the gingival microleakage in class II cavities in primary molars restored with a low shrink silorane resin composite (Filtek P90) or a nanohybride composite resin (Filtek supreme XT) using three different techniques, (total bonding, closed or open sandwich techniques) lined by nano-filled resin modified glass ionomer cement RMGIC (Ketac N100). Additionally, the shear punch bond strength between the two types of composite and KNIO0 was also examined.

Study Design: For microleakage test, two standardized class II slot cavities were prepared in proximal surfaces of 60 sound extracted primary molars which were divided into 2 groups of 30 each according to the type of composite.
