Genitourinary (GU) cancers are among the most prevalent neoplasms in the world, with bladder cancers constituting 3% of global cancer diagnoses. However, several pathogenetic mechanisms remain controversial and unclear. Claudins, for example, have been shown to play a significant role in several cancers of the human body.

Beyond the bones: Extraskeletal osteosarcoma of the thigh.

Extraskeletal osteosarcoma (ESOS) is a rare malignant mesenchymal soft tissue tumor that usually arises in the lower extremities. It is typically a high-grade malignancy that represents only around 1%-2% of all soft tissue sarcomas and 2%-4% of all osteosarcomas. In this report, we describe a case of a 67-year-old female who presented with a 4-day history of a painless lump in her posterior right thigh.

Multimodality imaging workup of classical Hodgkin lymphoma in an 8-month-old child.

The incidence of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) varies by age, most commonly affecting 15-19-year-olds. Cases in children less than 3 years old are exceedingly rare. We report a case of classical HL in an 8-month-old male; the youngest case reported thus far in the literature to our knowledge.

Obesity-related kidney disease: Beyond hypertension and insulin-resistance.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) causes considerable morbidity, mortality, and health expenditures worldwide. Obesity is a significant risk factor for CKD development, partially explained by the high prevalence of diabetes mellitus and hypertension in obese patients. However, adipocytes also possess potent endocrine functions, secreting a myriad of cytokines and adipokines that contribute to insulin resistance and induce a chronic low-grade inflammatory state thereby damaging the kidney.

Knowledge, perception, and attitudes of Universal Health Coverage policies among Alfaisal University students in Saudi Arabia.

Background: Saudi Arabia aims to achieve Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by a combination of free public healthcare and mandatory cooperative health insurance. To ensure the effectiveness of UHC policies, every individual should have a strong knowledge of their health-care rights and the system that guarantees it.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to measure the knowledge of Alfaisal students and record their perceptions and attitudes about Saudi Arabia's basic health-care coverage structure and UHC policies.
