A ridge-loaded staggered double-vane slow-wave structure is proposed for terahertz radiation sources employing a sheet electron beam. This slow-wave structure has the advantages of enhanced electric field and energy density distribution and improved interaction impedance in the beam-wave interaction region. High-frequency characteristics are investigated for the proposed slow wave structure and compared with those of the staggered double-vane slow wave structure.

The concurrently occurring multiple abiotic stresses like salinity and heavy metals (Nickel) pose a serious threat to plant survival and food security worldwide, especially in the face of climate change. Therefore, it is imperative to continuously test and study the plant's physiological changes under combinations of abiotic stresses to ensure sustainability and food security. An experiment was conducted to study the interactive effects of salinity (0, 7.

Aim: Nitrogen and sulfur-containing compounds are the core components utilized for synthesis of different heterocyclic moieties.

Methods & Results: In this research, a series of new analogues containing thiazolidinone have been synthesized in order to evaluate their activity against acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase. Potent analogues were further subjected for molecular docking in order to study their protein-ligand interactions.

Article Synopsis
  • Giant cell tumour of bone (GCTB) is a rare benign tumor that mainly affects young adults (ages 20-40) and is classified as an intermediate malignant tumor by the WHO, with its pathology linked to the expression of RANKL.
  • A study conducted over 36 months at a military hospital investigated the effects of preoperative denosumab therapy on GCTB patients, measuring pain and functional status before and after treatment.
  • Results showed significant improvement in pain and function, shifting the intended surgical approach from more invasive procedures like joint resection to less aggressive options such as intralesional curettage post-denosumab therapy.

  • - Rice is a crucial food source for over half the global population, especially in developing countries where it plays a significant role in daily nutrition.
  • - Wood vinegar, a natural growth promoter derived from biomass pyrolysis, enhances rice growth, photosynthesis, and stress tolerance, although its best application timing is still not well understood.
  • - The study found that applying wood vinegar during specific growth stages (tillering, jointing, and flowering) significantly increased rice yield by up to 32.4%, improved quality by reducing grain chalkiness, and ultimately supports more sustainable agricultural practices.

Article Synopsis
  • - A 48-year-old woman experienced severe lower back pain radiating to her right leg, diagnosed with an intradural neuroenteric cyst at the L2 level via MRI.
  • - The cyst was T2 hyperintense and T1 isointense, and histological analysis confirmed it was a well-defined ovoid neuroenteric cyst, appearing brighter than cerebrospinal fluid.
  • - Following cyst removal and L2 laminectomy, the patient experienced significant pain relief and had completely recovered by a two-week follow-up, highlighting the effectiveness of MRI and surgical intervention.

Pesticide residues have become an escalating concern in Pakistan, raising significant risks to both public health and the environment. This review overviews the current status of pesticide contamination in the country, with a specific focus on residue levels in relation to Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) and a comparative analysis with regional and global counterparts. Several studies reveal that 30% to 70% of tested food products, including fruits, vegetables, and animal-derived products, especially in Punjab and Sindh, exceed established MRLs.

With the development of new technologies in recent years, researchers have made significant progress in crop breeding. Modern breeding differs from traditional breeding because of great changes in technical means and breeding concepts. Whereas traditional breeding initially focused on high yields, modern breeding focuses on breeding orientations based on different crops' audiences or by-products.

In today's world, there is an increasing demand for environmental monitoring, surveillance, and oceanographic research, which poses challenges in improving energy efficiency and data transfer reliability in Acoustic Sensor Networks. Existing methods face hurdles due to limited energy resources and unreliable data transmission. We propose a Reliable and Energy-Efficient Framework with Sink Mobility (REEFSM) to address these issues.

  • Pregnancy luteoma (PL) is a rare ovarian lesion that can be mistaken for cancer, making it tough to diagnose.
  • It often appears as asymptomatic masses in the ovaries during pregnancy, influenced by hormonal changes like increased hCG.
  • A case of a 23-year-old pregnant woman with abdominal pain led to surgery, where PL was confirmed after further testing, despite initial concerns of malignancy.

This paper presents a significant scheme to drive the numerical solution of multi-dimensional diffusion problems where the fractional derivatives are taken in Caputo sense. The Mohand homotopy integral transform scheme (MHITS) is the composition of Mohand integral transform (MIT) and the homotopy perturbation scheme (HPS) which can be used to investigate the numerical solution in the form of convergence series. This approach does not require any presumptions, limitations on elements, or any other hypothesis.

The molecular energy, which is the sum of all eigenvalues, is crucial in determining the total π-electron energy of conjugated hydrocarbon molecules. We used machine learning techniques to calculate the energy, inertia, nullity, signature, and Estrada index of molecular graphs for bismuth tri-iodide and benzene rings embedded in P-type surfaces within 2D networks. We applied MATLAB to extract the actual eigenvalues from the data and developed general equations for these molecular properties.

In the current study, NiO nanoparticles, MnO nanoparticles, and MnNiO nanocomposites (Ni-NPs, Mn-NPs and MN-NCs, respectively) were synthesized using a facile hydrothermal method, and their performance in the removal of amaranth (AM) dye from synthetic wastewater was compared. XRD, FTIR spectroscopy, SEM, BET analysis, and TGA were performed to characterize the produced catalysts. The effect of pertinent parameters, including pH, dosage of catalysts, temperature, and shaking speed on the uptake of AM was investigated through batch experiments.
