Purpose: To analyze the effectiveness of image-guided energy ablation techniques with and without concurrent therapies in providing palliative pain relief in patients with bone metastases.
Materials And Methods: Ovid Embase, Ovid Medline, and Pubmed were searched from inception to April 14, 2023, using search terms related to bone lesions and MeSH terms regarding ablation therapy. English peer-reviewed primary articles were included that reported pain scores following image-guided energy-based ablation of bone metastases.
Background: It is a common observation that the aortic size of Pakistani population is relatively less as compared to western population. Till now there is no study which has measured the dimensions of abdominal aorta in local population. The standard diameter of an artery across the body is critical for clinicians to recognize when an artery has become aneurysmal.

Methods: We retrieved randomized clinical trials on fracture care between 2012 and 2017 from Embase, Medline and CENTRAL databases. Data collected included study characteristics (e.
Background: The ideal approach to managing parastomal and small bowel ectopic varices (EVs) is yet to be established.
Purpose: To evaluate outcomes following percutaneous antegrade transhepatic venous obliteration (PATVO) in patients presenting with bleeding from parastomal or small bowel EVs.
Material And Methods: A case series of 12 patients presenting with active or recurrent bleeding from parastomal or small bowel EVs who underwent 17 PATVO interventions at our tertiary care institution was performed.
Purpose: To determine if CT can improve the diagnostic confidence for the detection of sacroiliac joint (SIJ) erosions in patients with equivocal MRI findings.
Methods: A retrospective analysis of adult patients who had an SIJ MRI and a subsequent SIJ CT within 12 months was conducted. Using a 5-point Likert scale, two reviewers evaluated the de-identified MRI and CT images in randomized order and in separate sessions to answer the question: "Does the patient have SIJ erosions?".
Purpose: Assessment of patients for temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) surgery requires multimodality input, including EEG recordings to ensure optimal surgical planning. Often EEG demonstrates abnormal foci not detected on 1.5T MRI.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential relationship between aortic arch branching patterns and incidence of intracranial aneurysm.
Methods: This study included patients scanned over 1 year at our tertiary care center who underwent high-resolution imaging (computed tomography angiography or digital subtracted angiogram) of the head and neck arteries, aortic arch, and superior mediastinum.
Tarlov cysts (TC) are sacral perineural cysts that are often found incidentally during spinal imaging. In a small fraction, symptomatic TC can cause pain, bowel, bladder and/or sexual dysfunction, as well as motor and sensory deficits. While many surgeons regard TCs as a non-operative entity, there have been suggestions that operative intervention in carefully selected symptomatic patients may be beneficial.

Objective: To evaluate the reported adverse effects of energy drink consumption.
Affecting approximately 9.4% of the population worldwide, acne vulgaris is a common chronic inflammatory skin disease. Medical students are exposed to higher levels of stress and have a higher prevalence of acne.

It remains largely unknown what benefits this software may have to the intraoperative placement of the components and patient outcomes.
Purpose: The purpose of this systematic review is to compare 2D CT to 3D CT planning in total shoulder arthroplasty.
Background: Shoulder dislocations can be devastating for an athlete. Coracoid bone block transfer is often used for the treatment of recurrent shoulder instability.
Questions/purposes: The primary purpose of this study was to determine the rate and mean time of return to sport in athletes after a coracoid bone block transfer at the pre-operative level of competition, a lower level, or a different level.
Background: Superior labrum anterior to posterior (SLAP) tears are a very common shoulder injury. The success rate of SLAP repair, particularly in the throwing athlete, has been variable in the literature.
Questions/purposes: The purpose of this systematic review was to evaluate the reported post-operative outcomes of management techniques for failed SLAP repair.
Context:: Ankle syndesmotic injuries present a significant challenge for athletes due to prolonged disability and recovery periods. The optimal management of these injuries and rates of return to sport in athletes remains unclear.
Objective:: The purpose of this study was to evaluate return to sport for athletes after ankle syndesmotic injuries.
Depression is one of the most prevalent mental illnesses and is often associated with various other medical disorders. Since the 1980s, the primary pharmacological treatment has been antidepressants, but due to the recent discovery of the association between the gut microbiome and mental health, probiotics have been proposed as an adjunctive or alternate treatment. In this narrative review, we aim to provide a holistic perspective by synthesizing and evaluating existing evidence, discussing key biological mechanisms, exploring the history of probiotic use, and appreciating the influence of modern diet on mental health.
