Aim Of The Study: To study clinical, laboratory and imaging features correlated with complete response (CR) to transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) through 162 patients collected in Hassan II University Hospital of Fez.
Material And Methods: From January 2015 to December 2019, 162 patients diagnosed with 225 HCC were treated by TACE. Among them, 14 showed CR during the follow-up.
Donepezil is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor commonly used to treat mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Its use has been associated with increased bone mass in humans and animals. However, the effect of postoperative administration of donepezil on bone healing remains unknown.

We hypothesized that the use of ranitidine would impair bone healing and implant osseointegration. This study investigated the effect of postoperative administration of ranitidine on bone healing and osseointegration in rats.

However, defining the optimal elemental composition required for bone formation is challenging due to many possible concentrations and combinations of these elements. We hypothesized that the ideal elemental composition exists in the inorganic phase of the bone extracellular matrix (ECM).

With the ongoing opioid epidemic and the insufficient effect of acetaminophen on severe pain; non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are heavily used to alleviate this pain. However, NSAIDs are known to inhibit postoperative healing of connective tissues by inhibiting prostaglandin signaling.

One potential approach is the modification of biomaterial surface chemistry to mimic bone extracellular matrix (ECM). In this sense, we hypothesized that coating synthetic dicalcium phosphate (DCP) bioceramics with bone ECM proteins would modulate the host immune reactions and improve their regenerative performance.

SSRI use is associated with increased risk of bone fracture and titanium implant failure. The aim of this in vivo study was to investigate the effect of SSRIs on osseointegration and bone healing.

Objectives: Bone marrow fat is inversely correlated with bone mineral density. The aim of this study is to present a method to quantify alveolar bone marrow fat content using a 15 T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner.
Study Design: A 15 T MRI scanner with a 13-mm inner diameter loop-gap radiofrequency coil was used to scan seven 3-mm diameter alveolar bone biopsy specimens.
The autonomous nervous system regulates bone mass through the sympathetic and parasympathetic arms. The sympathetic nervous system (SNS) favors bone loss whereas the parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) promotes bone mass accrual. Donepezil, a central-acting cholinergic agonist, has been shown to down-regulate SNS and up-regulate PNS signaling tones.

The factors related to the presence of varices are not well-defined. Therefore, the present study has been undertaken to determine the appropriateness of the various factors in predicting the existence and also the grade of esophageal varices.
