The Spectrum of Presumed Tubercular Uveitis in a Referral Eye Clinic in Qatar.

Purpose: To analyze the clinical spectrum of patients with presumed tubercular uveitis in a referral eye clinic in Qatar.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the clinical records of 50 patients (80 eyes) diagnosed with presumed ocular tuberculosis who presented to the uveitis clinic, department of Ophthalmology Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar, from January 2014 till December 2019.

Results: Mean age at presentation was 34.

Sensory neural hearing loss in Behcet's disease successfully controlled with infliximab, case report and review of literature.

Behcet's disease is a systemic autoimmune disorder occasionally associated with otological manifestations, including sensorineural hearing loss. We are reporting a case of Behcet's disease, which was complicated by sensorineural hearing loss and managed successfully with anti-TNF agent Infliximab.

Epidemiology of hip fracture in Qatar and development of a country specific FRAX model.

Unlabelled: Hip fracture data were retrieved from electronical medical records for the years 2017-2019 in the State of Qatar and used to create a FRAX® model to facilitate fracture risk assessment. Hip fracture rates were comparable with estimates from Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, and Kuwait but fracture probabilities varied due to differences in mortality.

Objective: This paper describes the epidemiology of osteoporotic fractures in the State of Qatar that was used to develop the country-specific fracture prediction FRAX® tool.
