[The role of food allergy as a provoking factor of migraine].

Objective: To assess the effect of food allergies on the course of migraine.

Material And Methods: Seventy patients with migraine, aged 21-56 years old, were examined using headache diary, MIDAS and VAS, studies of specific antibodies of the IgG4 class (delayed type food allergy) by immuno-enzyme analysis (ELISA), microbiological examination of a smear from the mucous membrane of the posterior wall of the oropharynx with mass spectrometry of microbial markers (MSMM) with the identification of 57 microorganisms.

Results: We found an increase in specific IgG4 for a number of food allergens in most patients with migraine, of which 48.

[The state of the oropharyngeal microbiome in patients with migraine].

Objective: To determine a role of changes in the oropharyngeal microbiome in the development and clinical manifestations of migraine.

Results: The following changes in the oropharynx of individuals with migraine compared with the group of healthy individuals (control group) were found: a) a significant increase in the content of markers of resident (conditionally pathogenic) microorganisms characteristic of chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract (strepto- and staphylococci); b) the appearance of markers of transient microorganisms normally absent, characteristic of the intestinal microflora (clostridia, gram-negative rods, enterobacteria, anaerobes); c) the appearance of viral markers of cytomegaloviruses, Herpes group, Epstein-Barr; d) a significant decrease in the content of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli).

Obesity and individual performance: the case of eSports.

Background/objectives: The study considers the problem of the inclusion of people with obesity in the context of the growing role of computer-based work. Negative stereotypes about people with obesity still hold even when they are irrelevant in tasks that require little physical activity.

Subjects/methods: Using data from the realm of competitive video gaming (eSports) and image recognition-based metric of body mass index metric derived from artificial intelligence, we examine the individual performance depending on weight.

After the Crimea crisis: Employee discrimination in Russia and Ukraine.

This paper examines the issue of employee discrimination after a political crisis: the annexation of Crimea. The annexation, which resulted in a political crisis in Russian-Ukrainian relations, is a setting which allows us to test if a bilateral political issue caused employee discrimination. We use a quasi-experimental approach to examine how the political crisis influenced participation in major sports leagues in Russia and Ukraine.

[The regeneration of skeletal muscle tissue after a gunshot injury].

Peculiarities of skeletal muscular tissue regeneration were studied after inflicting the gunshot damage in rabbits. Phase 1 of the wound process consists of forming of the posttraumatic necrosis zone, disintegration of skeletal muscular tissue differons and macrophage activation. Proliferation phase starts 36 hrs after the wound was inflicted and includes myosatellitocyte activation and proliferation and myoblast appearance.

[Soy lipoxygenase as the object for the primary testing of potential inhibitors of leukotriene biosynthesis].

The comparative study of the ability of three compounds (indomethacin, agent BW 755 C and arachidonate hydroxamic acid) to inhibit the activity of preparations of soya bean lipoxygenase and to block leukotriene C4 biosynthesis in human leukocytes recorded by reversed phase liquid chromatography was performed. It was shown that irrespectively of purification degree soya bean lipoxygenase is a sufficiently adequate object for primary testing of inhibitors of biosynthesis of leukotrienes with the given type of action. [Crystalline preparations of acid-soluble collagen from rat skin].

Crystalline preparations of rat skin acid-soluble collagen are a complex of collagen and glycoprotein of noncollagenic nature. Heat denaturation of the preparation, treatment with urea and DS-Na result in decomposition of this complex. Proteins composing it differ in amino acid composition, the presence of -S-S-bonds, the amount of a carbohydrate component, electrophoretic mobility in polyacrylamide gel and solubility in acid medium.
