Background: Poor sleep quality is a common complaint after total joint arthroplasty (TJA), and it is associated with reports of higher pain and worse functional outcomes. Several interventions have been investigated with the intent to reduce the incidence of postoperative sleep disturbance with varying effectiveness. Cross-site reproducibility of human cortical organoids reveals consistent cell type composition and architecture.

While guided human cortical organoid (hCO) protocols reproducibly generate cortical cell types at one site, variability in hCO phenotypes across sites using a harmonized protocol has not yet been evaluated. To determine the cross-site reproducibility of hCO differentiation, three independent research groups assayed hCOs in multiple differentiation replicates from one induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) line using a harmonized miniaturized spinning bioreactor protocol across 3 months. hCOs were mostly cortical progenitor and neuronal cell types in reproducible proportions that were consistently organized in cortical wall-like buds.

Background: While substantial gains have been made in the fight against malaria over the past 20 years, malaria morbidity and mortality are marked by inequality. The equitable elimination of malaria within countries will be determined in part by greater spending on malaria interventions, and how those investments are allocated. Comparative evaluation of microhardness of three restorative materials after immersion in chlorhexidine mouthwash: An study.

Aim: To evaluate and compare the microhardness of Filtek Z250XT, Beautifil II, and Neo Spectra ST HV after immersion in chlorhexidine mouthwash.

Materials And Methods: Thirty disc specimens (10 for each group) made of three different restorative materials, Group 1 - Filtek (3M ESPE), Group 2 - Beautifil II (Shofu), and Group 3 - Neo Spectra ST HV (Dentsply). To simulate 1 year of daily mouthwash use, 10 specimens from each group were immersed in chlorhexidine, kept in an incubator at 37°C for 12 h, and later subjected to microhardness measurement using Vicker's hardness test.

Initial experience using middle meningeal artery embolisation for patients with recurrent and high-recurrence-risk chronic subdural haematoma.

Recurrence rates following surgical management of chronic subdural haematoma (CSDH) range from 5 to 33 %. There is growing evidence which suggests middle meningeal artery embolisation (MMAe) may reduce recurrence rates when used as surgical adjunct or standalone treatment.
