Non-clear cell renal cell carcinomas (non-ccRCCs) encompass diverse malignant and benign tumors. Refinement of differential diagnosis biomarkers, markers for early prognosis of aggressive disease, and therapeutic targets to complement immunotherapy are current clinical needs. Multi-omics analyses of 48 non-ccRCCs compared with 103 ccRCCs reveal proteogenomic, phosphorylation, glycosylation, and metabolic aberrations in RCC subtypes.

Endowing conventional materials with specific functions that are hardly available is invariably of significant importance but greatly challenging. TiO is proven to be highly active for the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution while intrinsically inert for electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) due to its poor electrical conductivity and unfavorable hydrogen adsorption/desorption behavior. Herein, the first activation of inert TiO for electrocatalytic HER is demonstrated by synergistically modulating the positions of d-band center and triggering hydrogen spillover through the dual doping-induced partial phase transition.

Here, we generated a human ACE2 and SARS-CoV-2 N knockin mouse line that constitutively expresses human ACE2 and specifically expresses SARS-CoV-2 N gene induced by Cre-recombinase. In this paper, the pyrolytic mechanisms of -perfluorosilanes Si F (2 ≤ < 6) and perfluorocyclosilanes Si F (3 ≤ ≤ 6) are studied in terms of kinetics and thermodynamics by theoretical calculation, and the pyrolytic reaction paths of Si F (2 ≤ < 6) and Si F (3 ≤ ≤ 6) are obtained, which can be used to guide the experimental preparation research studies and separation operations of Si F (2 ≤ < 6), Si F (3 ≤ ≤ 6), and their intermediate substances. The results of the kinetic analysis show that the pyrolytic mechanisms of Si F (2 ≤ < 6) are as follows: first, the silicon-silicon bond breaking induces the generation of free radicals; then, in the chain transfer, the related free radicals participate in F-abstraction transfer with the molecules; and finally, the free radicals form the molecules, and the chain terminates. The F-abstraction transfer is the easiest process to initiate in the low-order silicon-fluorine substance during the chain transfer while releasing SiF at the same time, whereas the generation of double free radicals is the most difficult process.

Background: Coronary artery calcification (CAC) and carotid artery intima-media thickness (cIMT) are measures of subclinical atherosclerosis in asymptomatic individuals and strong risk factors for cardiovascular disease. Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is an independent cardiovascular disease risk factor that accelerates atherosclerosis.

Methods: We performed meta-analyses of genome-wide association studies in up to 2500 T2D individuals of European ancestry (EA) and 1590 T2D individuals of African ancestry with or without exclusion of prevalent cardiovascular disease, for CAC measured by cardiac computed tomography, and 3608 individuals of EA and 838 individuals of African ancestry with T2D for cIMT measured by ultrasonography within the CHARGE (Cohorts for Heart and Aging Research in Genomic Epidemiology) Consortium.

Transition-metal phosphates have been widely applied as promising candidates for electrochemical energy storage and conversion. In this study, we report a simple method to prepare a N, F co-doped mesoporous cobalt phosphate with rich-oxygen vacancies by in-situ pyrolysis of a Co-phosphate precursor with NH cations and F anions. Due to this heteroatom doping, it could achieve a current density of 10 mA/cm at lower overpotential of 276 mV and smaller Tafel slope of 57.
