Despite obvious similarities in their electronic and crystallographic structures, it remains unclear whether the interactions that shape the normal and superconducting (SC) state properties of high-T cuprates and infinite-layer nickelates (ILNs) have the same origin. This question has been brought into sharper focus with recent studies on ILNs of improved crystallinity that reveal a SC dome of comparable extent and similar transport properties above T as the hole-doped cuprates. The evolution of these properties in the magnetic-field-induced normal state, however, has yet to be determined.

  • An error grid is a tool that helps compare glucose levels measured by devices to see if they are correct and to identify any risks.
  • Experts created a new error grid called the DTS Error Grid that works for both blood glucose monitors (BGMs) and continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), organizing accuracy into five risk zones.
  • The results showed that the DTS Error Grid provides a clearer picture of how accurate these devices are and includes a separate matrix to evaluate how well CGMs track glucose trends over time.

In vitro circular RNA (circRNA) preparation methods have been gaining a lot of attention recently as several reports suggest that circRNAs are more stable, with better performances in cells and in vivo, than linear RNAs in various biomedical applications. Self-splicing ribozymes are considered a major in vitro circRNA generation method for biomedical applications due to their simplicity and efficiency in the circularization of the gene of interest. This review summarizes, updates, and discusses the recently developed self-circularization methods based on the self-splicing ribozyme, such as group I and II intron ribozymes, and the pros and cons of each method in preparing circRNA in vitro.

In the pivotal study ECHELON-1, brentuximab vedotin (BV), doxorubicin, vinblastine, and dacarbazine (A + AVD) demonstrated superior efficacy compared with bleomycin + AVD for the treatment of advanced-stage classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL). However, there are minimal available data regarding the frequency of dose reductions or omission of BV during curative therapy and the potential impact on patient outcomes. In a real-world analysis, we retrospectively reviewed the characteristics and outcomes of 179 patients with stage III or IV cHL treated with frontline A + AVD from January 2010 to April 2022.

Article Synopsis
  • - Body fat distribution is influenced by genetics and rare variants of Inhibin beta E (activin E) can lower waist-to-hip ratios and protect against type 2 diabetes.
  • - Activin E plays a crucial role in regulating energy storage in fat tissue by inhibiting fat breakdown and contributing to the enlargement of fat cells (adipocytes) in mice.
  • - The research shows that activin E functions through ACVR1C signaling, and its absence leads to healthier fat metabolism and reduced fat storage, highlighting its role in maintaining fat mass during fasting, which is problematic in obesity.

This study investigated the effect of hydrogen (H) on the performance of amorphous In-Ga-Zn-Sn oxide (-InGaZnSnO) thin-film transistors (TFTs). Ample H in plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition (PEALD)-derived SiO can diffuse into the underlying -IGZTO film during the postdeposition annealing (PDA) process, which affects the electrical properties of the resulting TFTs due to its donor behavior in the -IGZTO. The -InGaZnSnO TFTs at the PDA temperature of 400 °C exhibited a remarkably higher field-effect mobility (μ) of 85.

Engineering active sites of metal nanoparticle-based heterogeneous catalysts is one of the most prerequisite approaches for the efficient production of chemicals, but the limited active sites and undesired oxidation on the metal nanoparticles still remain as key challenges. Here, it is reported that the negatively charged surface of copper nanoparticles on the 2D [Ca N] ∙e electride provides the unrestricted active sites for catalytic selective sulfenylation of indoles and azaindoles with diaryl disulfides. Substantial electron transfer from the electride support to copper nanoparticles via electronic metal-support interactions results in the accumulation of excess electrons at the surface of copper nanoparticles.
