Peripheral blood estradiol, progesterone, testosterone were measured in 100 women with gonorrhea and Gonococcus-Trichomonas infection. Estradiol levels were found reduced in both phases, progesterone level elevated in the follicular and lowered in the lutein phases of the menstrual cycle as against the norm. Elevated testosterone levels were revealed in the peripheral blood of women with gonorrhea, particularly so in chronic gonorrhea and mixed Gonococcus-Trichomonas infection.

The function of the hypophyseo-thyroid system has been examined by radioimmunoassays in 185 patients suffering from eczema. In 62% of patients thyroid function has been found increased. The findings evidence a relationship between the severity of thyroid dysfunction and the clinical pattern of the disease.

The authors assess the clinical efficacy of sibicort, and ointment manufactured by Orion, Finland, used in therapy of patients suffering from neurodermatitis, eczema, and allergic dermatitis. Pathogenetic treatment combined with sibicort has been administered to 64 patients with disseminated true eczema, 115 ones with diffuse neurodermatitis, and 20 ones with allergic dermatitis. The ointment has been applied to and a little bit rubbed in the foci of lesions twice a day.
