Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor-Related Acute Kidney Injury-Management and Challenges.

Immune check point inhibitors (ICIs) have been increasingly used over the past decade for treatment of several cancer types. Despite the excellent cancer response they provide, their use has been associated with serious immune-related adverse events (irAEs) affecting multiple systems including the kidney. Currently, limited data is available to guide treatment of acute kidney injury secondary to ICI use (ICI-AKI) due to tubulointerstitial nephritis or glomerulonephritis.

Consensus review and considerations on TMS to treat depression: A comprehensive update endorsed by the National Network of Depression Centers, the Clinical TMS Society, and the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology.

This article updates the prior 2018 consensus statement by the National Network of Depression Centers (NNDC) on the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) in the treatment of depression, incorporating recent research and clinical developments. Publications on TMS and depression between September 2016 and April 2024 were identified using methods informed by PRISMA guidelines. The NNDC Neuromodulation Work Group met monthly between October 2022 and April 2024 to define important clinical topics and review pertinent literature.

Evaluation of Trunk Muscle Strength and Endurance: A Comparison of Women With and Without Chronic Ankle Instability.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to compare the strength and endurance of the trunk muscles in women with chronic ankle instability (CAI) compared with those who do not have CAI.

Methods: Sixty-two women were assigned into 2 equal groups of 31; group A included women with CAI and group B included healthy women. Peak torques per body weight of the trunk extensors and flexors were measured using a Biodex System 3 Isokinetic Dynamometer.

Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) stresses the importance of worldwide vaccine coverage of coronavirus-19 (COVID-19) vaccination. This study fills a critical gap in the literature by providing empirical evidence on the factors influencing COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and inequity in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This study investigated the determinants of psychological antecedents and other factors behind COVID-19 vaccination and their role in vaccine coverage in MENA.

Constitutive activity of an atypical chemokine receptor revealed by inverse agonistic nanobodies.

Chemokine stimulation of atypical chemokine receptor 3 (ACKR3) does not activate G proteins but recruits arrestins. It is a chemokine scavenger that indirectly influences responses by restricting the availability of CXCL12, an agonist shared with the canonical receptor CXCR4. ACKR3 is upregulated in numerous disorders.
