The Imaging and Molecular Annotation of Xenografts and Tumors Cancer Grand Challenges team was set up with the objective of developing the "next generation" of pathology and cancer research by using a combination of single-cell and spatial omics tools to produce 3D molecularly annotated maps of tumors. Its activities overlapped, and in some cases catalyzed, a spatial revolution in biology that saw new technologies being deployed to investigate the roles of tumor heterogeneity and of the tumor micro-environment. Large language models (LLMs) continue to exhibit noteworthy capabilities across a spectrum of areas, including emerging proficiencies across the health care continuum. Successful LLM implementation and adoption depend on digital readiness, modern infrastructure, a trained workforce, privacy, and an ethical regulatory landscape. These factors can vary significantly across health care ecosystems, dictating the choice of a particular LLM implementation pathway.

Factors impacting time to genetic diagnosis for children with epilepsy.

Molecular diagnosis for pediatric epilepsy patients can impact treatment and health supervision recommendations. However, there is little known about factors affecting the time to receive a diagnosis. Our objective was to characterize factors affecting the time from first seizure to molecular diagnosis in children with epilepsy.

Inflammation in the COVID-19 airway is due to inhibition of CFTR signaling by the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein.

SARS-CoV-2-contributes to sickness and death in COVID-19 patients partly by inducing a hyper-proinflammatory immune response in the host airway. This hyper-proinflammatory state involves activation of signaling by NFκB, and unexpectedly, ENaC, the epithelial sodium channel. Post-infection inflammation may also contribute to "Long COVID"/PASC.

It is well established that the basolateral amygdala (BLA) is an emotional processing hub that governs a diverse repertoire of behaviors. Selective engagement of a heterogeneous cell population in the BLA is thought to contribute to this flexibility in behavioral outcomes. However, whether this process is impacted by previous experiences that influence emotional processing remains unclear.
