[Indocyanine green angiography in assessment of parathyroid remnant perfusion after subtotal parathyroidectomy: a case report].

A 72-year-old female patient with chronic kidney disease stage presented with multiple parathyroid adenomas and tertiary hyperparathyroidism. SPECT/CT with Tc-MIBI revealed accumulation of radiopharmaceuticals in 2 out of 4 parathyroid glands. Ultrasound established localization of all parathyroid glands.

Aggressiveness and age of manifestation of medullary thyroid cancer depend on the risk level of germline RET mutations. For high-risk mutations, preventive thyroidectomy is recommended at young age. In recent years, endoscopic operations for thyroid cancer were introduced in clinical practice.

Nonsurgical management of thyroid abscess with sonographically guided fine needle aspiration.

Treatment of thyroid abscess commonly includes the surgical drainage along with systemic antibiotic therapy. Alternatives for open surgical intervention may be the conservative management with use needle aspiration or catheter drainage. We report here two cases of thyroid abscess treatment with 21-gauge needle aspiration under ultrasound guidance.
