[Epidemiological aspects of vascular dementia in the Northwestern Federal District in 2010-2019].

Unlabelled: To analyze the dynamics and structure of the incidence and prevalence of vascular dementia (according to the appeal to psychiatric institutions) in the regions of the North-West Federal District in 2010-2019.

Material And Methods: Study design is descriptive epidemiological. We analyzed the data of 11 entities that are part of the North-West Federal District, including in comparison with general indicators for the Russian Federation.

[Gender differences in the volume of brain structures in the aspect of physiological aging.].

The aim of the work was to clarify the gender, age and variable differences in the structure of brain structures in healthy volunteers in connection with the task of distinguishing between physiological aging and pathological processes of the brain. The study methods included performing structural MRI of the brain in 131 conditionally healthy volunteers aged 20 to 70 years (72 of them were women and 59 men). Using the method of MR voxel-based morphometry, the total volume of the brain as a whole, as well as its segmented parts, was measured, followed by a comparison of the data obtained in age subgroups and between the sexes.

Phase transformations in Pt/Fe bilayers during post annealing probed by resistometry.

X-ray diffraction (XRD), secondary neutral mass spectrometry (SNMS) depth profiling, and electrical resistivity measurements were used to follow the phase transformations in Pt/Fe bi-layered thin films during annealing. Initially, the electrical resistivity increases linearly with temperature up to 150 °C due to the contribution of phonon scattering of the metallic Pt and Fe bilayer. Further increase of the annealing temperature leads to a steeper linear increase, which is associated with the initial formation of the chemically disordered A1-phase followed by the formation of the chemically ordered L1-FePt phase, as confirmed by XRD and SNMS studies.

[Investigation of the effect of oil and flour from wheat germ meal on lipid metabolism of students and teachers of the university].

The results of investigation of alimentary correction of lipid metabolism under the admin­istration of processed products from wheat germ - oil (with the content of policosanol at least 1.5-8.0 mg/100 g, vitamin E - 180-200 mg/100 g, PUFA - 60-65%) and cake flour (with the content of protein - 30-35%, oil with analogue composition -5-7%, digestible carbohydrates - 45-47%, fiber - 18-26%, vitamins B1, B3, B6, B9, E, PP, minerals and trace elements - Zn, Mn, K, Fe, Se, P) are presented.
