A total of 357 Syngnathidae fishes ( Risso, 1827, Linnaeus, 1758 and (Linnaeus, 1758) caught in different habitats along Crimean Black Sea shelf were examined for presence of endohelminths and revealed to be hosts of 15 helminth species. The fishes are second intermediate hosts for five "birds'" digenean species and nematodes (larvae of three species and immature adults of one more species) completing life-cycles in waterbirds and fish; for two acanthocephalans and three cestodes larvae ending development in fish. We suggest, basing on data on feeding of the Black Sea predatory fish and waterbirds, that Syngnathid fishes are paratenic hosts in parasitic systems of most cestodes, nematodes and acanthocephalans.

Adult trematodes, morphologically similar to Haplosplanchnus pachysomus (Eysenhardt, 1829), were extracted from the intestine of Mugil cephalus Linnaeus, 1758, collected in the Black Sea basin. Morphological, morphometric and 28S ribosomal DNA (rDNA) partial sequence data were obtained for these trematodes following comparative analysis with previous data on this species. Worms from this study were morphologically identical to all previously reported H.

The aim of our prospective study was to assess recovery dynamics and functional characteristics of PD-1 and TIM-3 T cells in multiple myeloma (MM) patients following high-dose chemotherapy (HDCT) with autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT). Peripheral blood, autograft and bone marrow samples were obtained from 46 MM patients before conditioning, at the engraftment, following six and 12 months post-transplant. Frequencies of CD4 and CD8 T cells expressing PD-1 and TIM-3 and intracellular expression of Ki-67 and Granzyme B were evaluated.

Cucurbit[7]uril (CB[7]) is a molecular container that may form host-guest complexes with platinum(II) anticancer drugs and modulate their efficacy and safety. In this paper, we report our studies of the effect of CB[7]-oxaliplatin complex and the mixture of CB[7] and carboplatin (1:1) on viability and proliferation of a primary cell culture (peripheral blood mononuclear cells), two tumor cell lines (B16 and K562) and their activity in the animal model of melanoma. At the same time, we studied the impact of platinum (II) drugs with CB[7] on T cells and B cells in vitro.

The aim of the present work was to evaluate counts and functional properties of PD-1 and TIM-3 T cells in peripheral blood (PB) and bone marrow (BM) of multiple myeloma (MM) patients following the induction therapy. Sixty patients were enrolled in the study, CD4 and CD8 T cells expressing PD-1 and TIM-3, intracellular production of IFNγ and intracellular expression of Granzyme B were assessed. Relative counts of the majority of circulating PD-1, TIM-3 and PD-1TIM-3 T cells were higher in MM patients with disease progression compared with individuals in remission.
