[Possibilities of using long-wave irradiation in the near-infrared and red spectral ranges for visualization of eyeball structures].

The proposed study technique makes it possible to non-invasively visualize the structures of the anterior and posterior portions of the eyeball in the red and near-infrared spectral ranges of irradiation. Further study of the capacities of the technique and its introduction into clinical practice should be made.

[Clinical results of photodynamic therapy of choroidal neovascularization].

In some retinal diseases subretinal neovascular membranes (SNM) are formed in macular region, which is associated with persistent decrease of central vision. Photodynamic therapy is the new promising method of SNM treatment that allows selective impact on their structure, which results in its regression without decrease of visional function.

[Selective impact of laser irradiation on ocular fundus structures].

Influence of the laser irradiation on structures of the eye fundus was studied. Conception of the threshold and selective influence of the laser irradiation was suggested. Results of treatment of patients with diabetic maculopathy were adduced using model of the laser irradiation selective influence on the eye fundus structures elaborated by the author.

[Ischemic type of diabetic maculopathy].

The pathogenesis of diabetic maculopathy is discussed. The possibility of different diagnostic methodic (OCT, FAG and etc.) is shown.

[Transpupillary thermotherapy of classic choroidal neovascular membranes].

Whether the efficacy of treatment of classic choroidal neovascular membranes (CNM) can be increased by transpupillary thermotherapy (TTT) was studied. TTT was performed by using diode laser at a wave length of 0.81 microgram.
