[Apparatus-free membrane plasmapheresis in the complex therapy of victims with crush syndrome during evacuation under the conditions of an aeromobile hospital of the Russian MChS Ministry].

The paper analyzes the results of treatment in victims with the crush syndrome under the conditions maximally close to those of emergency situations. It is concluded that plasma exchange procedures should be performed within the next few hours after taking the victims from the obstructions, which reduces the risk of acute lung damage and death rates in this group of patients to a considerable extent.

[Effect of several diuretics on ischemic damage to the kidneys].

Furosemide, etacrynic acid and mannitol administered to the survival of rats. However, these drugs prove ineffective in the event they are indicated after the action of the ischemic factor is discontinued. Etacrynic acid and novurit inhibit the functional activity of isolated mitochondria incubated under hypoxia and at a temperature of 37 degrees C.

[Alteration of lipid peroxidation of rat liver endoplasmic reticulum in the presence of steroid hormones].

Effect of steroid hormones on peroxidation of lipids of rats' liver endoplasmic reticulum was studied. Accumulation of peroxidation products was measured by the change in chemoluminescence intensity and by the rate of malone dealdehydeformation. It was shown that typical antioxidants--estrogenes were the inhibitors of NADH-H and ascorbate-dependent systems of lipid peroxidation in rat liver microsomes, the enzymatic system being the most sensitive one.

[Effect of x-ray contrast materials on erythrocyte hemolysis].

The effect of roentgen-contrast media on the hemolytic resistance of erythrocytes in conditions of a "hypotonic shock" and on the peroxidation of the erythrocytes lipids membranes was studied. It is shown that all the contrast media potentiate the erythrocytes hemolysis, but do not affect the rate of the lipids peroxidation. Preliminary introduction of pipolphen in a therapeutic dose in a erythrocytes suspension increases the resistance of membranes to the action of the roentgen-contrast media.
