Objective: To present a new assessment approach, referred to as recovery preference exploration (RPE), for exploring the personal meaning of functional loss and recovery. RPE determines how people would choose to recover from profound disability if they could control that recovery.

Design: Twenty-six patients with a variety of medical conditions and one or more limitations in the functions being addressed were recruited from an inner-city ambulatory care clinic.

The results of examination of 325 patients with chronic abacterial prostatitis, varicocele showed marked changes in ejaculate parameters of these patients. Prostatitis of different duration in the same degree causes pathozoospermia, reduces ejaculate fertility. Such condition of spermatogenesis indicates involvement of other sex organs suggested by the literature data and previous experience.

The rats subjected to repeated heavy exercises (swimming with the load equal to 10% of body weight) had an increased activity of gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase in the urine. Both the percentage of the rats with hyperenzymuria and the level of enzyme were the highest after the fifth swimming. Water-soluble antioxidant (potassium fenozan) administered intraperitoneally 30 minutes before the swimming abolished the increase of enzymuria and maintained the enzyme activity to the normal level.
