A lot of research nowadays is dedicated to the problem of habitual pregnancy loss, and this attention is dictated by the continued high frequency of this condition. The pathogenesis of habitual pregnancy loss is very complicated and includes many factors, at present especially close attention is paid to immune aspects. It is considered, that cytokine imbalance might play a key role in the pathogenesis of habitual pregnancy loss.

The work was outlined to elucidate contribution of soluble factors produced by peripheral neutrophils from healthy pregnant women and those with EPH-gestosis to regulation of expression of surface activation markers by donor lymphocytes. It was found out that in healthy pregnant women neutrophil factors stimulated expression of HLA-DR and CD25 antigens by T lymphocytes. In women with EPH-gestosis neutrophil factors, which comprised soluble antigen of leukocytes 2 (SAL-2), enhanced expression of CD25 antigen in B subset.

Combined therapy for a sexually transmitted disease and chronic alcoholism or alcohol abuse has been administered in a hospital for sexually transmitted diseases. No side effects were recorded. Late results have been followed up in 111 patients; a stable remission has been achieved in 40%.
