[Issues of antithrombotic therapy in ACS patients with atrial fibrillation].

The review analyzed current ideas on prevalence and clinical significance of atrial fibrillation following acute coronary syndrome; described modern approaches to administration of antithrombotic therapy; and addressed available clinical studies on the treatment with warfarin and new oral anticoagulants as a part of combination antithrombotic therapy in patients with atrial fibrillation and acute coronary syndrome.

By a computer analysis of the five Bacilli metalloprotease sequences it was found that mesophilic Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and B. subtilis proteases had lost two Ca(2+)-binding sites due to the substitutions Asp----Ser 57, Asp----Thr 59, Asp----Pro 200, in comparison with the thermostable B. thermoproteolyticus thermolysin and B.

Temperature-dependent activation of Bacillus brevis metalloprotease expressed in mesophilic Bacillus subtilis.

When the Bacillus brevis secretory metalloprotease is expressed from the npr gene on a plasmid vector in the mesophile B. subtilis, grown at 37 degrees C, the enzyme was found to be properly processed, but secreted into the culture medium in a low-active conformation. Secreted metalloprotease can by heat-treatment (70 degrees C for 30 min) be converted into fully active enzyme.
