Aims: To evaluate and compare the efficacy of manual toothbrush, audio-tactile performance (ATP) method, and musical toothbrush on plaque control and oral hygiene maintenance in visually impaired children.
Methods And Results: The current observational study included 60 visually impaired children aged 9-16 years who were randomly divided into 3 groups, each with 20 children receiving oral hygiene instructions in different modes: Group 1 (Control) manual toothbrush, Group 2 (ATP) audio-tactile performance method with a manual toothbrush, and Group 3 musical toothbrush. Both manual (groups 1 and 2) and musical toothbrushes (Group 3) were changed after 3 months for better efficiency.
Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of four different obturating techniques in filling the radicular space in primary teeth.
Materials And Methods: This clinical trial was carried out on 34 healthy, cooperative children (5-9 years) who had 63 carious primary teeth indicated for pulpectomy. They were divided into four groups, such that in each group, a total of 40 canals were allotted for obturation with respective technique.
Objectives: The present study was undertaken to evaluate salivary cortisol levels in children of smokers and nonsmokers and thereby establishing the relationship between cortisol levels in response to anxiety in children based on their father's habit of smoking.
Materials And Methods: The study population aged between 8 and 10 years includes two groups. Group 1 is comprised 20 children of cigarette smokers and Group 2 is comprised 20 children of nonsmokers.
Introduction: Tooth development is extensively used for age estimation as a part of forensic science.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reliability of Demirjian's, Cameriere's and modified Cameriere's population-specific regression equation methods in the dental age estimation of West Godavari children.
Materials And Methods: The study included orthopantomograms (OPG) of 60 children of West Godavari district with age group between 9 to 14 years on whom all the three methods were used for age estimation.
