Diagnosis of benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) often causes difficulties, in particular, in elderly people with concomitant diseases. The article presents a case of a 77 year-old woman with BPPV. A patient's complaint on vertigo was mistakenly diagnosed as brain ischemia because the patient had long suffered from uncontrolled arterial hypertension.
