The article considers the microbe specter of mucous coat of esophagus and stomach in children with gastro esophageal reflux disease and chronic gastroduodenitis. In patients with diseases of upper parts of digestive tract, the opportunistic pathogenic bacteria are isolated more often and their strains have aggression factors and cytotoxicity. In children with reflux disease the microbe landscape of esophagus is larger both in numerical and specific respect as compared to healthy adolescents and children with isolated gastroduodenitis.

The purpose of this study was to determine the content of iodine and selenium in the thyroid and pituitary glands of rats under iodine-induced blockade of the thyroid gland. Electron probe microanalysis, wavelength-dispersive spectrometry, and point analysis were used in this investigation. We also determined the expression of sodium iodide symporter and caspase 32 in the thyroid and pituitary glands and the expression of thyroid-stimulating hormone in the pituitary.

Methods: A total of 49 inbred rat females weighing 250-300 g at the stage of diestrus and/or metestrus were used. Pituitaries and thyroids were dissected from 15 control rats and from the groups of 8 rats each given potassium iodide by gavage in doses of 1, 4, 8 and 25 μg/100 g at 48 h before sacrifice.
Objective: The aim of this work was to study the expression of NIS in the thyroid and anterior pituitary in rats after a single dose of iodide appropriate to the content of iodide in iodine-positive points in the thyroid and pituitary.
Methods: A total of 41 inbred rat females of local laboratory strain weighing 250-300 g at the stage of diestrus and/or metestrus were used. Pituitaries and thyroids were dissected from 15 control rats at the same time as these from four groups of 6-8 rats each which were given various doses of potassium iodide dissolved in 0.
Objective: The aim of this work was to study the effect of a single dose of iodide on the expression of apoptosis mediating enzymes (caspase 32 and caspase 8) as well as of antiapoptopic protein Bcl-2 in the anterior pituitary, thyroid and ovaries in rats.
Methods: A total of 24 inbred rat females of local laboratory strain weighing 250-300 g at the stage of diestrus and/or metestrus were used. Pituitary, thyroid and ovaries were dissected from the first group (8 control rats) at the same time as these from the second group (8 rats) and third group (8 rats) which were given potassium iodide (KI; 4 microg/100g body weight by gavage) 48 hours and 120 hours prior to the sacrifice, respectively.
