Purpose: This study aims to present our experience with superselective embolization of the anterior spinal artery-bearing segmental artery (ASAbSA) using a microvascular plug (MVP) during the minimally invasive segmental artery coil embolization (MISACE) procedure prior endovascular repair of the thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms.

Methods: We retrospectively evaluated all MISACE procedures performed between May 2018 and July 2023, where MVP was deployed into an angiographically confirmed ASAbSA. Data were analyzed regarding interventional details, technical aspects, and safety protocols.

To evaluate the impact of polypharmacy, defined as the concurrent use of five or more medications, on the clinical outcomes of patients undergoing revascularisation for symptomatic peripheral arterial disease (PAD). This is a retrospective analysis of consecutive PAD patients treated by surgical, endovascular or hybrid therapy in a tertiary center between January 2017 and December 2017. The composite of amputation and/or death (amputation-free survival; AFS) was the primary endpoint.

Article Synopsis
  • A study evaluated how the inner vessel diameter and vertical distance between renal arteries affect renal artery instability and complications in patients undergoing fenestrated endovascular aortic repair.
  • The research included data from 260 patients across six hospitals, analyzing outcomes and categorizing them based on measurements of their vessel characteristics.
  • Results showed a high technical success rate and low mortality, with factors like a smaller inner vessel diameter linked to higher risks of certain complications, particularly renal artery stenosis or occlusion.

Objectives: Aim of the study was to analyse the impact of preoperative thoracoabdominal aneurysm diameter on the outcomes of fenestrated/branched endografting.

Methods: Patients who underwent endovascular thoracoabdominal repair at 2 European centres (2011-2021) were analysed. Median diameter was calculated; the third quartile was considered a cut-off.

Background: This study aims to investigate results and outcomes of distal endovascular extensions after frozen elephant trunk (FET) procedure.

Methods: Between September 2018 and December 2022, all consecutive patients who underwent thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) or complex thoraco-abdominal repair (TAA-EVAR) after FET were included in the study. Patients were assigned to "Aneurysm" group or to "Dissection" group according to underlying patology before FET repair.
