Taxanes, such as docetaxel (DTX), are pivotal in cancer therapy, showcasing remarkable efficacy against various cancers, like breast, lung, and ovarian malignancies. However, DTX's efficacy is hindered by poor target specificity and significant adverse effects. Formulations containing DTX often include polysorbate 80 and ethanol, exacerbating reactions like hypersensitivity and neurological disorders.

Article Synopsis
  • Fungal endophytes significantly enhance the health and productivity of both native and cultivated plants, but research on their communities in eucalypt species remains limited.
  • This study focused on the seasonal and spatial dynamics of fungal leaf endophytes in Eucalyptus crebra, finding that summer had significantly higher fungal diversity compared to autumn and spring.
  • The results revealed different fungal compositions across seasons and canopy levels, with Ascomycota being the most prevalent phylum year-round, and highlighted the importance of monitoring endophytic fungi for the health of E. crebra and similar species.

Co TMO ( = 6-8), (TM = V, Cr, Mn, and Fe) clusters are investigated using density functional theory calculations. The transition metal atoms preferentially replace one Co atom at sites where the number of metal-oxygen bonds is maximized, forming more stable structures. The evaporation of a Co atom is the most fragile dissociation channel for both pure and doped species.

After disease progression on endocrine therapy (ET) plus a CDK4/6 inhibitor, there is no standardized sequence for subsequent treatment lines for estrogen receptor positive (ER+) metastatic breast cancer (MBC). CDK4/6i retrial as a treatment strategy is commonplace in modern clinical practice; however, the available prospective data investigating this strategy have had inconclusive results. To frame this data in a real-world context, we performed a retrospective analysis assessing the efficacy of CDK4/6is in 195 patients who had previous exposure to CDK4/6i in a prior treatment line at our institution.
