We report the initiation of CFTR modulator lumacaftor/ivacaftor combination (LUM/IVA) in two adolescents with cystic fibrosis who were treated with antifungal azoles (AZO) and tacrolimus (TCS) for liver transplantation. Despite multiple drug-drug interactions, maintaining therapeutic TCS levels was achievable. During the following year, LUM/IVA was well tolerated, providing clinical benefits.

Materials/patients And Methods: Retrospective study over a period of 24months. The criteria analysed were success or failure of the procedure, indication, age when inserted, type of PICC line, mean length of use and development of complications such as accidental removal, venous thrombosis or infection.
Background: This randomised cross-over pilot study was undertaken in 10 cystic fibrosis children aged 10 to 63 months to describe lung absorption of tobramycin delivered by the PariLC+/PariTurboboyN (Pari GmbH) and the disposable NL9M/AtomisorBoxPlus (Diffusion Technique Française) nebulising systems.
Methods: Each child inhaled 300 mg tobramycin delivered with one or the other apparatus via a facemask in two separate and standardised sessions. Urine was collected for 6 h.
beta 2-agonists, by inducing a fast and long relaxation of the bronchial smooth muscle, are considered as the more potent bronchodilators. beta 2-receptors are present from the 16th gestational week, explaining a possible bronchial response in the youngest children. beta 2-agonists do not induce any bronchodilator response in healthy children.
