India's road construction is vital for its infrastructure growth, requiring approximately 20,000 tons of high-quality aggregates per kilometer - materials that are increasingly scarce, leading to higher costs and delays. The industrial sector, a cornerstone of the Indian economy, also struggles with waste management. Earlier studies suggested that industrial waste can be used in road construction materials however, the radiological considerations were not focused.

The Pooled Cohort Equations (PCEs), developed by the American Heart Association (AHA) and American College of Cardiology, have been widely used since 2013 to estimate 10-year atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk and guide statin therapy. Recently, the AHA introduced the Predicting Risk of CVD EVENTs (PREVENT) equations to improve ASCVD risk estimation. However, the effect of using PREVENT instead of PCEs on risk classification and statin eligibility remains unclear.

Objective: This study aimed to find out the effect of age, hot beverages and tobacco related products on buccal mucosa cells between cigarette smokers and non-smokers in Ajman, UAE.

Methods: A total of 122 samples were collected, with demographic data including age, hot beverage consumption, cigarette smoking and other tobacco practice using pre-designed questionnaires. Buccal cells were collected, stained, and screened for micronuclei (MN) under a microscope and two evaluators independently assessed all the slides.
